Samsons win!!

The Samsons came out strong and never looked back, earning a dominant 3–0 shutout victory over Vermilion Community College. The Samsons controlled the match from start to finish, taking the first two sets 25–7 before closing out the third set 25–12.

Next up the Samsons will travel to Thief River Falls, MN to take on the Northland Pioneers on Friday September 11th.

The next home game will be Wednesday September 16th vs Mesabi Range.

Sunday’s Pickleball Tournament was a SMASH!

Huge congratulations to our Most Valuable Pickles, Jill Roble & Curtis Tinjum! 🥒🏆 These two were absolutely unstoppable. They didn’t lose a single match and basically mopped the floor with the competition. 😂🔥

And a special shoutout to Tre & Rukus, who… well… only managed to score 1 point across 3 games. 😬 Ouch. There’s always next time, right? 😂

A big shout out and thank you to Jay Kivisto over at the Pat O' Donnell Civic Center for providing us with equipment.

Samsons Win!!!

The Samsons battled through five sets against the Vikings from Itasca Community College in their season opener and came away with the win!

The first two sets went the Samsons way 25-17 and 25-16, before Itasca fought back to take sets three and four, 25-23. In the game deciding fifth set, the Samsons were able to shut down the Vikings rally and finish the match strong with a 15-9 victory!

Next up, the Samsons are back at the Lindquist Center to take on the Ironhawks from Vermilion Community College on Wednesday, September 2, at 6:00 p.m.

We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make our GCC Basketball Golf Classic such a special event! 🏀⛳️

A HUGE thank you to our amazing sponsors, the country club, all of the golfers, the GCC Maintenance team, and everyone who continues to support GCC Basketball. We truly feel so blessed by the incredible generosity and support of our community! ❤️

We also want to apologize that the rain cut our outing short. We were definitely bummed that we couldn’t finish the day the way we had planned, but we are so thankful for everyone who stuck it out and supported us despite the weather!

This fundraiser means so much more than just a day on the golf course. Your support truly helps change the lives of our student athletes and gives them opportunities and experiences they deserve. We are incredibly grateful for each and every person who played a part in making that possible.
