This video is connected to a song I have been working on for many years, titled “ Fall of Babylon.” The project is now going through its final stages. Even though it has taken a long time, I believe some stories deserve patience, precision, and respect. I’m doing my best to finish this work with absolute care, because history should never be told lightly. The history of Iran has always been the foundation of Arsames. It is the reason I chose to blend metal music with history, and to express it in the English language, so this voice could reach beyond borders. It is the voice of our history — a history that was silenced for centuries through oppression, invasion, and the collapse of our ancient world after the Arab conquests and the rise of Islam. It has been almost 20 years since I wrote songs like “Cyrus the Great” and “Xerxes / Immortal Identity.” I am proud that, from that time, I tried to create a new wave in metal music — one rooted in Persian history and identity — and to leave it as part of my own legacy as an artist who truly loves his homeland. In Iran, the judiciary does not operate as an independent branch of government. Judges are selected based on loyalty to the system, not commitment to justice. Trials, especially in political cases, are often closed. Defendants are denied proper access to lawyers. Confessions extracted under torture are presented as evidence. Verdicts are shaped by political interests long before a courtroom session begins. When a minor can be condemned to death after a forced confession, the problem is structural. This is a ”legal system” that allows and supports this outcome. Executions are used to send a message. They are meant to intimidate families, silence communities, and discourage any form of dissent.
