Chapter 1: GU12 GRIS FDA ⚫️⚪️

Our 2016/15 girls are the first group to come through the GRIS Football Development Academy.

Over the last few months, we’ve had the chance to train consistently on the field, in the gym and in the classroom. We also competed in our first tournament and started putting a lot of what we work on into a team environment.

We’re super proud of the progress this group has made and excited to keep building the FDA with this team and more teams in the future!

A look back at the first few months 👀⚫️⚪️

⚫ Every training block has a written curriculum — and parents get an email explaining what we’re working on and why
⚫ Team confidence classes, film study, and journaling built into the program, not bolted on
⚫ Position-specific repetitions with purpose — not drills for the sake of drills
⚫ Mentors, not just coaches. 2–3 per team who actually know your player
⚫ A development plan that’s about your kid, not the roster

Courage gets a player on the field. Confidence keeps them there.

Can confidence grow in an environment with no structure?
