42nd Ironarm is Sunday, 10/26, 8am. No Whimps!

I drove over to Wrightwood with the 360 camera on Saturday from Crestline to see how the village and Sky High fared with the fire. You really don't see much burn area until you get to the west end of town. The ranches on the right as you drive up Highway 2 are still there and that's about it. The left side going up the mountain still has most of the trees, thanks to the efforts of the Mountain High crew turning on the snowmaking system as the fire overwhelmed the resort.

The tape on the poles was removed because the protestors taped their signs to the poles and staff was directed to remove everything from the poles. I'll be back out next Sunday to re-tape the poles.

Now that I have the Wintertime Open done, it's time to focus on the 12th Annual Wrightwood Ice Bowl at Sky High Disc Golf Course on March 2nd. There will be lots of snow. We'll have ribbons to put on your discs. I don't know how many holes we'll have. But I do know that there's a DISCatcher EZ, an Excursion pack & lots of discs up for grabs.

The 12th annual Wrightwood Ice Bowl is a fun event to help St. Vincent de Paul of the Pines. To date, the Ice Bowl has donated over $11,000, with 2021 being the best donation of $2,111. Bring the family out for a beautiful day in the mountains.
