The other weekend, some of our club players teamed up with to take on the Orange County Championship tournament as Team Cascadia. We went almost undefeated (only one loss), and ended with a 1st place finish. Way to represent the Northwest, Seahammers and Ninjas!
We also, of course, had to get some hangout and beach time in :)

Huge thanks to and the Las Vegas Krackens for hosting an awesome tournament.

The only benefit of playing in an outdoor pool in the 40Β° winter temperatures is the hot tub.... until the cover gets thrown away.
Yet, we persist.

First ever 10 vs. 11 (no subs - everyone in) in an L shaped pool. No injuries. Whoo hoo!
Separately, we may have been over the recommended occupancy of the hot tub.

π Tournament Teamwork π
Teamwork was on full display at the tournament!
Teams gathered in the stands before games and during halftime to strategize and plan their best plays. In a sport where you canβt talk underwater, these moments are invaluable.
I mean, you could try shouting, but it usually sounds like an injured whale through your snorkel. While the team might know itβs you, they probably they probably have no clue what youβre saying.

β¨ π Serene Moments π β¨
While underwater hockey is often intense, it also has moments of serenity. πβ¨ Sometimes, amidst the action, you find yourself gliding through the water, mesmerized by the light dancing off the bubbles rising to the surface. Itβs these moments that showcase the beauty of this unique sport.
Our players have a deep love for the water. When weβre not scrimmaging, youβll find us diving for lost treasures, catching Dungeness crabs, collecting scientific samples, or enjoying time paddling, boating, or flying above the surface. π¦βοΈπ€
