🔥Opening June 30th!🔥 And Irvine is still tripping over their feet! The Olympics are coming and we have a TON of Olympic action sports riders across our region. You’d think that Irvine would have jumped all over this. It is apparent that the is a massive disconnect between the priorities of Irvine leadership and the roots of classic Orange County. This is a very sad situation. The life of action sports essentially began in Orange County and have spread to almost all corners of the planet. Instead of embracing action, sports bikes, skateboards, scooters, wheelchairs, etc. They’re proposing a sky tram tour over the great park. Give me a break. Where are the amenities for normal people? The public is invited to join Mission Viejo’s new Chief of Mission Viejo Police Services – Jason Ivins – on Saturday, May 4.

The fun takes place on the Oso Creek Trail by the new pumptrack from 9 to 11 am. The track is located along the Oso Creek Trail just below the Norman P. Murray Community Center's playground in the Celebration Garden next to the bridge.

Community members can cycle, run or walk on the trail, engage with Captain Ivins and enjoy lawn games. Trail ambassadors and the OCSD bike team will also be at the event.

That time is come back around again. Irvine has opened the door for a world-class multi use. Skate bike and scooter park. This is the ideal compliment for the Great Park given Orange County's legacy in the action, sports lifestyle. Anyone you know who might be interested in such a facility whether it's biking, skateboarding, or kids, scooters, should take notice of this opportunity. This event is a community outreach to get additional feedback on community demand, as well as a amenity features that they may like. Hope to see you all there!

The City of Irvine is considering building an “All-Wheel Plaza” at the Great Park! The proposal includes a skatepark and pump track! Come see the initial design drawings, this is a great start!!

Important issues to discuss at the Town Hall: (1) express your support for an all-wheel skatepark and pump track; (2) the surface and design must be appropriate for bikes; and (3) we also need a BMX track and additional bike park features. Tell the city - how important is BMX racing to you and your family?

Now is your chance to express support for an all-wheel adaptive park and BMX track at the Irvine Great Park!

Gotta love summer nights and sunsets in the Coachella Valley! It's in the late summer when we get some extra moisture and clouds. The sky was on fire last week and I snapped this beauty over the City of La Quinta's NEW X-Park! This new park and addition to our valley boasts two amazing bowls including a combi, a huge skate plaza, and one of the biggest pump tracks in the nation open to skaters, scooters, bikes, quads, and blades!!! There are lots of amazing events being planned for this upcoming winter including Eddie Elguera's El Gato Skate Classic which brings skate legends and future rippers together to celebrate skateboarding! Stop by and take a peek, you may catch a pro or two coming out to ride it for the first time or to get ready for this winter's skate classic! Free public amenities are desperately needed at Irvine's Great Park. While revenue-generating amenities such as the water park and ice rinks are appreciated, the public needs more diverse amenities such as a world-class skatepark, pump track, BMX track, and expansive mountain biking trails.
