This very basic foundation movement is so important for your every day life. While it is basic, it can be difficult to learn how to do correctly. And practice makes perfect!
The hip hinge is used for picking things up off the ground, picking up your kid or a grandkid, bending over to change out the dryer or to put dishes in the dishwasher, and so much more!

’After injuring my back years ago trying to squat heavy I thought squats were no longer a exercise I could preform. Each time I attempted to squat my back would seize up and I’d have to head home. This inevitably discouraged me from evening exercising all together. Starting with Cierra she listened to what happen and took that into account with developing me a training program. She started me with the leg press machine and slowly progressed me into a full squat. Now doing the squat was difficult for 2 reason, 1. I didn’t want my back to seize up and feel pain and 2. She only wanted me to squat the bar with 10lbs on each side. Needless to say my ego was not happy. However she explained how we are starting to light to get the body prepared to have a load on its back and work on proper squat mechanics. Taking these foundational steps have progressed me into being comfortable squatting and squatting heavy with weights over 300+, which I though I could never do. I tell this story because she heard my issue, took that into account and developed a training program that worked specifically for me. Not only have I been able to drop weight and increase endurance, I’ve now been able to do exercises of my choice with no issues and have seen great improvements with my overall health. So if you were looking for a well educated trainer that will push to improve yourself I have no hesitations in recommending you contacting Cierra.’
