Knuckles, Mainous, Perry and Slone headline D&D Sports Network’s Week 6 Primetime Performers
Big numbers and big victories put four mountain football standouts in the spotlight as D&D Sports Network recognizes its 2026 Week 6 Primetime Performers, presented by Derrick Bowling with Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance.
Mingo Central’s Jamere Knuckles, Estill County’s Brody Mainous, Johnson Central’s Braxton Perry and Tug Valley’s Cameron Slone each delivered an outstanding performance to help lead their teams into the win column.
Jamere Knuckles — Mingo Central
Knuckles was sharp through the air in Mingo Central’s commanding 51-0 victory over Wyoming East, completing 15 of 18 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns.
The Miners’ quarterback also added 50 rushing yards on just two carries, finishing with 400 yards of total offense. His combination of accuracy and explosive production helped power a big night for Mingo Central.
Brody Mainous — Estill County
Mainous put together an incredible eight-touchdown performance as Estill County defeated Magoffin County 74-38.
He carried the football 22 times for 187 yards and seven touchdowns, adding two successful two-point conversions. Mainous was equally efficient throwing the ball, completing 12 of 15 passes for 185 yards and another touchdown.
With 372 yards of total offense and eight combined touchdowns, Mainous gave the Engineers a tremendous offensive lift in the high-scoring victory.
Braxton Perry — Johnson Central
Perry made his presence felt on both sides of the football in Johnson Central’s 42-21 win over Boyd County.
He piled up 286 rushing yards and four touchdowns on just 14 carries, averaging more than 20 yards per attempt. Perry also added a successful two-point conversion.
Defensively, he recorded seven tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery, delivering a complete performance for the Golden Eagles.
Cameron Slone — Tug Valley
Slone turned four receptions into a huge night for Tug Valley as the Panthers rolled past River View 56-6.
He finished with 132 receiving yards and three touchdowns, averaging 33 yards per catch. Three of his four receptions went for scores, making Slone a major scoring threat in the Panthers’ victory.
From Knuckles’ precision passing and Mainous’ eight-touchdown effort to Perry’s all-around impact and Slone’s explosive receiving night, these four standouts earned their place among the mountain’s Week 6 Primetime Performers.
