Have you ever eaten radish greens?
Have you tried to sauté them?

I did! And let me tell you, you’ve got to try it.

Gardening & growing our own food has been fulfilling, healing & restorative. I am so grateful to witness a seed germinate & grow. Jabari’s excitement when he walks through our garden making observations in his journal is everything!

The more time I spend outside tending to our garden, the more I want to grow. I’m pacing myself. This year gardening is the beginning of many more to come. 💚

What is the likelihood that the 2 year anniversary of Ilijah’s transition happens to also be Bereaved Mother’s Day today?!

I spent the day outside, hiking and in community.
I’m so grateful I didn’t walk it out alone today.
My heart was in limbo but overall I felt held by the trees, the air, the sun shining upon us, the mist of the waterfall and the swallowtail butterfly that kept fluttering around us. 🦋

If you love someone that’s walking through life with the heavy heart of loss, find a way to support them.

If you’re heart is heavy with grief, do something that takes gentle care of yourself. ❤️‍🩹

These 2 flows support the knees and hips through controlled range of motion while inviting the nervous system into something more regulated using:

slower breath
clearer sensation
less bracing
and more choice

We’re practicing staying with the body not trying to override it.

With enough awareness you will notice a few things…

1. where you grip
2. where you rush
3.?where you lose breath without realizing it

Then, we gently begin to change that pattern with a longer exhale, a softer jaw and a more supported step forward. In and off the mat.
