First 5k in a long time! Iām proud of myself for finishing but Iām actually more proud of myself for showing up! I tried to make every excuse not to go and I have been pretty good at the excuse game lately!
The race vibe and energy was strong in our little community and I loved every second! Great Job finishers!

The noise of the outside world has gotten so loud that itās almost unbearable. Itās brings so much distraction with it that I get lost most days and end up so far from the path that I wish to be on. Do you ever feel like that?
My intentions for the summer are to focus on the things that matter and quiet the noise of the things that donāt. My relationship with God, my kids, my husband, my health and my true friends are what matter. What doesnāt? Everything else that leads me away from grace, love and peace! I pray if you find yourself with the same feelings, that God leads you to a summer of growth, quiet and peace! ā¤ļøšš»

You may be following some accounts on social media that tell you that cardio is the devil. Iām here to tell you, if it makes you happy...do it. I gave up running in search of the āperfect bodyā that strength training is promised to give. I lost my happiness in my pursuit for perfection and Iām here to tell you itās not worth it. Do what makes you happy, life is too short for anything else!

Tabata workouts are my favorite and often my go to when my motivation is low! I pick 5-6 of my favorite moves, set a timer for 45 seconds on: 15 seconds rest and I get started! I usually try for 4-5 rounds! Here are some of my favorites:
1. Side lunges
2. Med ball burpees
3. Push ups
4. Weighted sit ups
5. Deadlifts
6. Upright rows

This past year has gotten us all out of a routine but there is light at the end of a long tunnel and next week we go back to in person school 5 days a week! We also will have 2 kids playing 3 different sports so being intentional with my time in the morning is crucial! What does your morning routine look like?
