The girls had 2 great wins today! The second game they came back from a 10-7 deficit to win 12-10! They never gave up! Excellent job by all!

congratulations to Carlie Chimenti on her 100th goal with the Lacey High School varsity team. with Lacey Pride 7/8 she has the unique distinction of:
> playing the first two years in Lacey Pride's girls program
> first time playing goalie at moment's notice without any warmup or prep at a tournament
> playing defense as primary position
> earning me my first and only yellow card as I freaked on a ref that failed to call a foul as she was getting tomahawked on her head by an opponent's stick
> playing on the 'Lacey Laxatives' beach lacrosse team and having an epiphany about my zone defense strategy
> assisting with practices the past two years
> head coaching the girls players this year in a four game tournament (thank you thank you thank you)
> being the first former girls Lacey Pride player to reach 100 goals in high school!

congratulations again Carlie, keeping it fun, and encouraging our players to continue on playing lacrosse in high school. you've done it all...

say hello to "Gator 2.0". a nickname in honor of Sam Grosh, who wanted to score a goal as a goalie when she played on our team. Kennedy has the same objective and we gave it an attempt today. we have one more tournament next weekend, so stay tuned!

great to see how our team continues to improve and never give up. in an age of uncertainty and senseless acts, i asked them only to play like they have nothing to lose. a privilege to be their coach....
