Midwest Grit McCain ended its season with a Back to Back USSSA National Championship and for a lot of these girls there last travel ball game!! What a ride it has been with this group. A lot these girls I have had since they were 8 years old. Todd Conklin, Michelle Flath, Travis Spane, and Trent Cockburn I can’t thank you enough for all the help over the years this would not have been possible without you.

Mostly I want say thank you to each kid that put on the GRIT jersey to play for me and buys in to what we want to accomplish. I say it all the time when people ask what coach or organization do I play for? The answer to that question is always the team that has someone your child connects with, believes in, trust in and wants to work for. Without that you will never reach your full potential. These girls gave me everything they had for years! I seen most of these girls 2-3 times a week for 9+ years. We all had ups, downs, injuries and so on but with all that we did some pretty awesome things!!!

I will forever be your biggest fans and will follow your journey as you grow into wonderful young women and achieve all your goals!

You gave this coach way more than he could ever ask for and for that I say THANK YOU.

So here is a post for the old and the new journey that begins. A new group to push, teach, and make love this great game that will shape them it hard working, competitive and driven young ladies!!!

The Midwest Grit - McCain Era came to an end yesterday taking 1st place in the USSSA SE National Music City USA tournament in Tennessee!

These girls outscored their opponents 40 to 10! What an amazing group of ladies!

Best of luck to those finishing up their Senior year in HS and congratulations to those that will continue to play softball at the next level!
