❤️‍🩹 The burden has finally been lifted.

For more than 10 years, I knew my body wasn’t acting right—and during the last five years, my symptoms only became worse. I kept showing up, asking questions, and telling my doctors that something was wrong.

My surgical pathology revealed endometriosis and a fibroid—but NO CANCER! 🙌🏾🙏🏾

I returned to Mississippi because I trusted my VA primary care doctor, nurse practitioner, OBGYN, and the entire supporting staff. Thank you for hearing me, believing me, patiently running every test, and making sure I was cared for throughout this process. We handled one issue at a time until we finally found answers. You are an amazing team!

Thank you to my sister and son for your unwavering support as I navigate this new chapter. Thank you, Hope, for my beautiful flowers. 🌹Thank you for all the text and calls.

I’ve been quiet because I’ve been working on me—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Now it’s time to heal, rebuild, and embrace my new life. ❤️‍🩹

Ladies, listen to your body and keep searching for answers. You know when something isn’t right.

💚 DIGESTIVE HEALTH SPOTLIGHT: LIFE WITH AN ILEOSTOMY 💚

Today I want to shine a light on a story of strength, resilience, and life beyond digestive disease.

The beautiful woman pictured with me has been living with an incurable cancer since she was diagnosed at only 13 years old. Her journey has included something many people may have heard of but may not fully understand—an ileostomy.

🔎 What is an ileostomy?

An ileostomy is created through surgery when the end of the small intestine (the ileum) is brought through an opening in the abdomen called a stoma. Waste leaves the body through the stoma and is collected in an ostomy pouch.

People may need an ileostomy because of conditions affecting the digestive system, including certain cancers, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, familial adenomatous polyposis, or other serious intestinal conditions.

But here is something I want people to understand:

An ostomy does not define the person wearing it.

Behind every ostomy bag is a PERSON—a person who can laugh, love, travel, work, exercise, dress beautifully, make memories, and LIVE.

Digestive diseases are not always visible. You may stand beside someone every day and never know what they have survived or what they continue to manage.

Her story is a reminder of why conversations about digestive health matter. Awareness helps replace embarrassment with education, misconceptions with understanding, and isolation with COMMUNITY. 💚

✨ This is why we spotlight the stories.
✨ This is why we educate.
✨ This is why we advocate.
✨ This is why community matters.

Today, I celebrate HER—not simply for what she has endured, but for the life she continues to live.

If you or someone you love lives with an ostomy or digestive disease, know that your story deserves to be seen and heard. 🫶🏾

🔥 MOTIVATION MONDAY 🔥

This was part of my Saturday journey—getting back into my groove and putting in the work! 💪🏾

As a personal trainer, I enjoy challenging my body, but fitness has always been about more than what I see in the mirror. It’s about strengthening my mind, body, AND soul. 🧠💪🏾✨

One thing I want everyone—men AND women—to remember today: what we do NOW affects our LATER.

You don’t have to wait until you lose weight.
You don’t have to wait until you feel motivated.
You don’t have to wait for Monday, next month, or the “perfect time.”

The key is to START. 🔑

Start with the walk. Start with 10 minutes. Start with changing one meal. Start with drinking more water. Start wherever you are—but START.

Your future self is being shaped by the choices you make today. ❤️‍🔥

What are YOU starting or getting back to this week? 👇🏾

Wishful Wednesday 💭✨

One of the hardest things in life is letting go of what was.

Over the past year, I’ve been dealing with a lot—fighting depression, anxiety, stress, grief, disappointment, and learning how to navigate life through challenges I never expected. Along with all of that has come the difficult task of letting go.

For me, letting go has always been challenging, but it is possible.

Sometimes we hold on to old memories, old plans, old relationships, and old versions of ourselves, hoping things will somehow return to what they once were. But healing often begins when we accept reality for what it is instead of exhausting ourselves trying to make it what we want it to be.

Acceptance doesn’t mean you agree with what happened.
It doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt.
It means you’re choosing to move forward instead of staying stuck.

As I’ve learned this past year, giving yourself grace is just as important as letting go. Some days will be harder than others. Some days you’ll feel strong, and some days you’ll simply be doing your best to get through the day. Both are okay.

Be patient with yourself. Give yourself permission to heal, grow, and release what no longer serves you.

What’s meant for you won’t require you to hold on so tightly that it breaks you.

🌱 Today, choose peace.
🌱 Today, choose grace.
🌱 Today, choose to accept what is and trust that better days are ahead.

💜

Grief is strange… because life keeps moving even when your heart is standing still.💔

This month is hard for me.
I lost my mom on May 11 three years ago… and today, May 20, we laid her to rest on her birthday.

Some days I can talk about her and smile.
Some days it still feels unreal.

If you’ve ever lost someone you love, then you know certain dates don’t just pass quietly. They sit heavy on your chest.

Today I’m choosing to honor her, miss her, love her, and keep going the best I can. ❤️

Tell someone you love them while you can.
And if you’re grieving too… you’re not alone.

Yesterday was a good day 💙

Client sessions in the morning, training with my twin later — just a boymom doing what I love 🙌

My clients are putting in the work, staying consistent, and the results are starting to show. We train all four seasons, not just for summer. Your goals = your method. I meet you where you are.

So proud of my people. Summer bodies are loading… 🌞💪
