🇺🇸 NFA UPDATE — WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MICHIGAN?
The court-ordered stay in Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF has now expired, and the federal injunction is taking effect for the parties covered by the court’s order. The DOJ also did not obtain an extension of the stay.
So what does this mean for our Michigan customers?
Michigan law still ties the lawful possession of a suppressor/silencer to federal authorization under MCL 750.224. The federal court ruling does not automatically change Michigan law, which means there is still a significant legal question for Michigan residents and dealers.
For now, we are closely monitoring the situation and will keep our customers informed as federal and Michigan guidance develops.
📌 If you're currently waiting on a suppressor, considering a purchase, or have questions about how these changes affect you, give us a call before making any decisions.
