PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE 5th ANNUAL FUEL TO FIGHT CANCER

Help us provide hope and transportation for cancer patients in our community!

🥊The Fuel to Fight Cancer 5K was established in 2022 with a mission to increase awareness and provide transportation assistance for cancer patients receiving treatment at the Forrest General Cancer Center.

🚕 For many patients, the journey to healing involves frequent trips for care, creating both financial and logistical challenges for them and their families. Fuel to Fight was created to help ease that burden, ensuring that no patient has to miss or delay treatment due to lack of transportation.

Through the support of our community, 100% of proceeds are used to provide transportation assistance for cancer patients in need.

🏃What started as a 5K has grown into so much more! As Fuel to Fight has continued to grow, we added a 2-Mile Walk. Now, in celebration of our 5th year, we’re excited to introduce a NEW 5-Mile Run!

👨🏻‍👩🏻‍👧🏻‍👦🏻 A FREE Kids Fun Run kicks off the morning in The Healing Garden at 7:30 AM! Be sure to bring the whole family and join the fun!

🥊Together, we can fuel the fight and make every step count. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏼

💳 Donations to support the fund can be made by mailing a check addressed to Forrest General Healthcare Foundation with "Fuel to Fight Fund" as the note. The mailing address is PO Box 19010, Hattiesburg, MS 39404.

Happy Monday! - Ephesians 4:2 NASB1995 [2] with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 📖

Apostle Paul's letter to the saints at Ephesus (Ephesians 1:1) while in prison. He reminds them to walk (live) in the calling. They are new creatures in Christ Jesus. Their conduct should reflect their walk with Christ. A worthy walk is being true and consistent with your calling in Christ. (v.1)

How do you walk? (v.2) With all loneliness. Jesus made the offer to take up His yoke. In Matthew 11:29. He said "I'm meek and lowly."

Meekness (gentleness) is your strength under God's control. Maintaining calmness, serenity and peace of mind whether you're interacting with Christian friends, Family, co workers, strangers or your enemies.

Longsuffering (patience): Be patient with everyone. James 1:9 [NKJV] gives us a guide to longsuffering. 👉 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Forbearing (tolerance) one another in love: Do good to all men. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5 to love our enemies and do good unto them. Love all men with Agape love. Self denial for the sake of others.

Closing: Your consistent walk in Christ can help others have a consistent walk in Christ as well.

"Before Christianity, the word lowliness always had a bad association to it. In the minds of many it still does; but it is a glorious Christian virtue (Philippians 2:1-10). It means that we can be happy and content when we are not in control or steering things our way." - David Guzik

“Lowliness” means a mind brought low. Paul practiced what he preached. Lowliness means the opposite of pride. I wish our seminaries today would stop trying to make intellectual preachers and teach the young men to walk in lowliness of mind. - J. Vernon McGee
