📢Please join the Rotary of Flowood for the sixth annual Made in the Shade 5K Run/Walk.

One hundred percent of all proceeds go toward the Rotary of Flowood’s ongoing service projects, which include dictionaries for Rankin-area lower elementary students, food drives for the Pine Lake Church Care Center, and Gateway Rescue Mission, and projects for The Seedsters at The Mustard Seed . A guaranteed donation of $1,000 will go toward programs at the YMCA of Flowood.

The race course will be a simple down and back along the paved multipurpose trail. There will be somewhat less shade this year, but beautiful scenery along the additional mile you’ll run or walk on the multipurpose trail. We look forward to seeing you.
Shirts are guaranteed for individuals who sign up before July 1, 2026.

⚠️IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 5:30 P.M., THURSDAY, JULY 16TH, YOUR BIB WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL RACE DAY MORNING.

🍉 MS Watermelon Festival 5K Run/Walk, Friday July 17 at 7:00 pm. The entry fee is $25.00 and after the deadline it is $30.00. Shirts will be guaranteed to pre-registered participants only.

🍉Registration will begin at 6:00 pm. Awards will be given in each age division for Run/Walk. All proceeds go to the Mize Volunteer Fire Department. All prepaid participants will receive a run shirt and entry to the festival for great food, free watermelon and entertainment.

When helping someone in need, it should be done with a sincere heart. Not to draw attention or praise to yourself, but to God our Father. We are His servants.

Simple explanation: You take care of those that are less fortunate. God will remember your good deeds.

📢Join us for the 5th annual Madison Station Half Marathon! We will start under the arch located in Madison's historic downtown area and finish at the famous red caboose.

📢Contributions from this event will be made to local charities to include Webster Animal Shelter and Madison Cultural Art Center.

📢Please register early online to save on registration fees. The fees for registering at Packet Pickup will increase by $10.00. There will be no race day registrations.

The Half Marathon is Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) State Championship for Mississippi for 2026.

[Being a disciple of Christ]
Jesus speaking to his disciples on what it takes to follow Him. This teaching applies to all believers in Christ. Christ maps it out plain and simple. No strings attach! 👇👇

Deny yourself or live for self. Take up your cross daily or refute the cross. Follow Christ or follow your agenda.
You can lose your life for Christ or save your life for the world.

When taking up your cross. You're crucifying the old way and submitt your life to Christ. Denying yourself. 👉 Not letting self control you and letting Christ take control.

Being His disciple is not always a daily bed of Roses. 👇

That ye may be the children of your father that is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to arise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and unjust. Matthew 5:45.

Jesus warned us that trouble will come, but he will overcome the world.

So the choice is yours! Follow Christ or follow the world. You can't do both.
