Thats a wrap for the 2026 standardbred nationals for team misfits! This was an incredible 3 day show! We are so beyond proud of our team! Everyone showed off all their hard work they've put in over this past year with their horses! We would like to thank everyone who came out to lend a hand, support the team, help with volunteer hours, bring us snacks, and to hang out with us! This was by far the best one we've had and we cant wait until our 2027 nationals! We had some special highlights from the show:
Cassandra and Roll with Zo taking 7th out of 40 horses in the gelding in hand! Huge accomplishment as this class is incredibly difficult! They also placed 5th in the 19-49 age 2 gait class which had a LOT of riders in it. For only being 4 years old rollie is really showing his potential as a show horse as his training continues!
Sharon and JUSTALUCKYCHARM taking grand champion for the green hunter 3 gait! Their hunter courses were SPOT on perfection!! This was many years in the making with all her hard work and Saturday night showed all the hard work pays off!
Tivonne and Olde Broadside taking 5th in a massive 18 rider green horse class 2 gait! And 6th in war horse in hand out of 33 horses! Both huge accomplishments! This pair also newer to the English world has shown if you put the work in it really shows when you hit the show ring!!
Joe and Sounion taking reserve champion for the beginner equation division! From killpen to show horse! Big accomplishment as joe just started cash English 2 months ago!
Callie and Sassy Hanover from race horse to kids best friend. These two hit the show ring and captured so many people's heart. Their accomplishment was not about ribbons but going out and completing each class and leaving with a smile on her face. They did bring home a good amount of ribbons as well. This was her VERY first off property show where she was completely leadline free for all of the English classes!
Krystall and Thunder some where. Thunders very first show and he brought his A game. They took 10th in war horse 2 gait which was a big class! He gave his all with each class and took everything in stride. Hes only been out of the killpen since March!
Sophia and mackenzie Hanover took on the challenge of their very first english show together. Bringing home some great ribbons in the 12 and under classes. She brought her determination and took each class in stride!
This is what it's all about, its not about the ribbons. Its about going out there, having fun and showing all the work you've put into your horse and yourself! Congratulations to our team and to all of the riders who competed this weekend. It was a amazing time with everyone, it was great seeing old friends and making new ones!
