📢 Last Call for Sandlot Legends Campers in Marble Hill/Woodland for NEXT week. We currently have 15 campers. If we get 11 MORE campers, we can open up a SECOND field, which would be super fun. Coach Watkins is SuPeR excited to get to work with local baseball/softball players. Help us SPREAD THE WORD! 📢

💦 Sikeston Day 2 💦

Today was one for the books!

👀 Camp delayed due to rain before and rain coming (9:00 start time)
👀 Coach and I go out to the fields, getting ready to set things up (8:15)
👀City of Sikeston is on it & dragging the fields to get our campers set up for success
👀 Downpour for 20-30 minutes
👀 Coaches & camper families roll up (8:45)
👀 Coach & I doubtfully check fields
👀 Coach & I return to the parking lot to see campers literally hanging out of their windows, anxiously awaiting the word…
🗣️ We yell out, “Do y’all want to play today?”
🗣️ They bring the juice and yell as loud as they can… “YAAAA” 🙌🏻
💪🏻 Good stuff! It was another GREAT day with these campers!

‼️ Sikeston Sandlot 6:30 UPDATE ‼️

As of now, 2 of our 3 fields are completely ready to roll. There is a field a little further down (field 3) that is ready, as well.

It looks like there’s a chance of an additional round of rain around 7:30-8:15.

Our rain turtle should help!
