There are moments in life that remind you why you do what you do. Moments where every early morning practice, every late night, every setback, every lesson learned, and every sacrifice suddenly becomes worth it…Yesterday was one of those moments.

But we’re not finished.

Today our athletes return to the mats as they compete for World Titles in Traditional Forms and Traditional Weapons.

This afternoon, we’re also incredibly proud to have our own representing their countries on the international stage:

Today we want to take a moment to congratulate two very special members of our Innovate staff, Ms. Nandkishun and Mr. Marchitello, as they graduate high school today!

We have had the privilege of watching both of them grow, lead, and set an incredible example on and off the mat. Their dedication, character, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our students, staff, and school community.

As they get ready to begin this exciting next chapter and start college in the fall, we could not be more proud of them. We know they will continue to do amazing things, chase big goals, and inspire those around them.

Your Innovate family is cheering you on today. We wish you both nothing but success, happiness, and an incredible future ahead!

Today we want to take a moment to celebrate the dads, grandpas, uncles, and father figures who help make Innovate so special.

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for cheering from the sidelines, tying belts, driving to classes, encouraging your children after tough days, and celebrating every little victory along the way.

At Innovate, we talk a lot about unlocking potential, and so much of that starts at home with the love, guidance, and strength of great dads.

To all of our Innovate fathers and father figures, we appreciate you, we celebrate you, and we hope you have the happiest Father’s Day. Thank you for being such an important part of our Innovate family. 👊

This weekend, 51 Innovate competitors stepped onto the mat at District Championships and represented our team to the fullest.

And before we talk about medals, titles, or final results, we want to recognize something even bigger:

It is an accomplishment just to step on the mat at Districts.

Whether this was your very first Districts or your 10th, we are so incredibly proud of you for being there.

For some competitors, the win was overcoming nerves and competing for the first time. For others, it was placing at Districts for the very first time. For some, it was stepping into a tough ring, showing courage, learning from the moment, and walking away stronger than before.

Those little wins matter.

We saw competitors show respect, sportsmanship, courage, and heart in every ring. We saw teammates cheering for each other, families running from ring to ring to support every Innovate competitor, and an energy that reminded us exactly what makes this team so special.

The titles are amazing, and we will absolutely be celebrating the final results from the weekend in an upcoming post.

But today, we want to celebrate the moments that don’t always show up on a results sheet.

The first-time competitors.
The nervous smiles before bowing in.
The students who got back up after a tough round.
The teammates cheering louder than anyone else.
The families supporting every Innovate ring.
The growth. The courage. The confidence. The little wins.

To all 51 competitors: you made us proud this weekend.
