I’m Audreyonna Sequale and I help multi-talented, multi-hyphenate women learn to become more grounded as they use their gifts to create their unique path.

Hey boo! I’m Audreyonna Sequale, nice to meet you! I’m a “Jill of all trades” who has used my voice to advocate for mental health since being diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder in 2018. Over the years, I’ve created my blog AuthenticallyASB.com and podcast Strong Friend Check In to document my experience living with mental illness. As I became more transparent about my diagnosis, I noticed

heal + hang is my life’s work and my life’s joy.

I often express gratitude for work that heals me while healing others. But as great as that gift is, I often take it for granted.

The thing about a gift is sometimes they come really easy. So easy in fact, that they feel like they’re unearned or “regular.” With that idea, it becomes easy to treat our gifts or callings like a hobby.

If I could host heal + hang every day I would (and someday soon I will.) but, how can I really mean that if I’m not consistent now? That’s why self-discipline is important to me in 2025 and beyond.

Doing “the thing” even when I don’t feel like it. Even when it’s “hard.” Because I’m more than capable and I’ve proven that to myself too many times to doubt it.

I pray that whatever your need is in 2025 it is met through the consistency of your actions and the support of your community. 📓✨

heal + hang: Social Studies is a series of life skills workshops for teens (14-17).

Listen, I know that parents and guardians don’t often have the time they desire to help develop components of their child’s social and emotional skills. School and home do a lot of the heavy lifting but our kiddos still need the help. That’s why I decided to establish these workshops to help stand in the gap and get our teens the skills they need.

These workshops will help develop skills like:
-Conflict Resolution
-Mindfulness
-Journaling/Reading Comprehension
-Etiquette (for 2025, something’s are different now!)
-Basic Finance
And more…

Join us Saturday, January 18 from 10am-12pm at . Sign up your kiddo (only 10 spaces) in my bio! 📓✍🏽

heal + hang: Social Studies is a series of life skills workshops for teens 14-17 at

Listen, it doesn’t matter if you’re Gen Z or a Baby Boomer, the fact is we all had to learn specific skills in order to be a “productive member of society.” Our kiddos receive a lot of flack for the things they “don’t know” but they need guidance from folks who do. That’s why I’m here to teach them!

heal + hang: Social Studies focuses on life skills such as:
Conflict resolution
Social skills (etiquette, interviewing, financial, etc.)
Emotional skills* (emotional identification and regulation, journaling, meditation, etc.)
Creative writing + art
*some sessions facilitated with a licensed mental health professional

This session of heal + hang: Social Studies will focus on conflict resolution skills. Teens will be able to identify and give name to emotions that accompany conflict. Then they will focus on ways to ease those emotions internally. This will be a two-part workshop.

If you’d like to give your teen a boost in their social/emotional development, register them for this free workshop! (Check bio) ✍🏽📓

December is here and that means 2 things for me:
1. It’s time to review 2024.
2. It’s time to plan for 2025.

Everything is pretty much in place for how I plan to serve in the First Quarter of 2025. If we haven’t already planned/had a meeting, welp, see ya later ✌🏾

My final loose end to tie is how I want to proceed with my hand-crafted journals and affirmation card decks.

If I’m honest, I’m inconsistent in the sale of them. I know that folks love them and they’ve been incredibly helpful to folks own them. Because of that, I owe it to myself and this creation to commit myself to promoting them properly.

I’m also feeling EXTREMELY creative right now and I have ideas to execute! I’d love to hear from Y O U about what you’d like to see as I revamp my Etsy shop and my products.

Share your feedback with me below 👇🏾✨

I think books are like medicine, take as needed. This is the medicine I’m currently taking: Hood Wellness by Tamela J. Gordon ().

I planned to breeze through it in an effort to possibly finish one more book before the year ends but, these pages are ones you sit with.

This is an amazing piece for folks who want, need, or HAVE TO skip all of the capitalist/commodified “love and light” that were being sold as “wellness.”

The goal of my work is to make something as mundane as journaling a chain-breaker. Learning how to turn to Self when you’re unable to access anything or anyone else is a skill that so many of us don’t realize we’re using. Let’s learn how to do it in ways that uplift ourselves and the collective.

Also, I have an idea for this book come 2025. Watch this space. 💜💚✨

Over the past 2 weeks I’ve been absolutely despondent. It’s only now that I’m able to “do” something about how I feel.

I suspect SO many of you can relate.

I created a few brief prompts to help ease some post-Nov. 5 anxiety.

Here’s to praying for better days. I DO believe they’re ahead.

Still on a high from healing + hanging Thursday night with and .woc as part of their 2024 Gender and S3xual Minorities and Allies Celebration!

The theme of the celebration and this edition of heal + hang was CommUNITY so the students and I used the example of the Combahee River Collective (if you don’t know, find out 👩🏾‍💻) to identify:
• Red and green flags of community building on and offline
• What makes us feel safe in our communities
• The intimacy of conflict (thanks )
• How to handle conflict and change within our communities

Conversations with college students are some of my favorites because their perspectives are so fresh and ever-growing, they remind me to examine life a little differently.

Thank you again to: .woc and my dear friend Dr. Jones for allowing me to bring heal + hang to 💜💚✨

Today is World Mental Health Day 💚

If there’s one thing I could reiterate to literally anyone is , “it’s okay not to be okay.” Truly.

I want all of us to realize just how important our mental health is. It’s equally as important as physical and spiritual health. When you have aches and pains that won’t go away, most people see a doctor to find out what’s wrong. We’re able to do the same for our minds!

There are *so* many different modalities, clinical and holistic, that can tremendously benefit your mental health. The first step is having the desire to lay your burdens down and say, “I’m not okay.”

Hopefully, there are supportive people in your life who are waiting with open arms and hearts for you to share yourself with them. And if there isn’t, or if you feel like you need to take a clinical approach to help, there are so many organizations that can stand in that gap for you and be that support system you need.

Getting help is much more accessible but it’s still not “easy.” Try to make things less difficult for yourself by removing the shame around being less than “okay.” Okay is so varied anyway…

Tap the photo to see resources and organizations supporting Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ folks in mental health. Feel free to share and add❗️

Wishing you healing that’s free of shame. -ASB 💜💚✨
