Hello Mudsock Rugby family!

As many of you know, Two weeks ago, our Beau’s sweet and gregarious momma, Lona, had a very unexpected heart attack and very tragically passed. Beau’s dad passed when he was in 7th grade. He has an awesome stepdad, step siblings and support system but obviously is in a very hard and unique situation. Beau is an amazing young man with high goals and lots of ambition. He has created his own business and plays 7’s currently for Mudsock as they go into the state tournament this weekend.

We have an awesome and generous opportunity has been presented to support Beau.

The local foundation, Be Foundation is holding a 5K fun run/walk Oct 24th at 10am!

Location: Starting and finishing at Launch Fishers

Lona, Beau’s mom, had signed up to participate.

In her honor and support of Beau, anyone who buys a ticket to the event, the organization will donate 100% of all Mudsock teams’ ticket sales to Beau.

If you choose to support Beau, when you sign up you would put your first and last name in the “First Name” and then in the “Last Name” slot write “For Beau” so that those funds will go to supporting him!

Example:
First Name: Courtney Lawhead
Last Name: For Beau

Tickets are right at $40.00 each so a good handful of players can make a big difference to support Beau. We know it is fall break during that time so if you cannot participate in the event, you can still purchase a ticket to show your support for this amazing young man!

Out of abundance of caution, we are going to cancel tomorrow morning’s practice. We do not feel like the roads will be in a great position along with the neighborhood streets. Be safe everyone and we will see you at 8:30 PM at Fishers high school in aux 1 for our first official practice of the season. Don’t forget to bring a friend!
