UNF Climbing Club

Thanks everyone for coming out to the final meeting of the Fall 2025 semester!

The semester is coming to an end and our final meeting of 2025 will be on December 3rd!
- Elections for Vice President and Treasurer will be held the beginning of club. If you are interested in running for either of these positions, please come prepared with a few words about why you would be the best candidate for the position! After all of the candidates introduce themselves, members will fill out an online form to vote -

Our costume climb and competition was a blast! Jake the cow got first in the competition and won a Stone Climbing day pass and Koozie (supplied by )

November schedule is out!
-This Sunday (11/2) we will be hosting a belay clinic and a group trip to . The belay clinic will take place at the Osprey Cliff at 11am, and after we will head to Stone Climbing (arriving around 1pm). Feel free to come to both events, or just one!-
-11/3-11/7 The Osprey Cliff will be closed for setting-
-11/12 Boulder competition extension. Everyone is welcome to compete (and we encourage you to!)-
-11/19 Club Meeting, fun climbing games!-
(The last week of November we will not be meeting since it is during Thanksgiving break)

Thank you from for coming out to the club meeting last night to share information about the new Stone Climbing Gym that will be opening in Jax soon, as well as doing some trivia and giving our climbers some BOGO day passes!
Stone is always so supportive of our club and helps us out, so thank you!

Climbing club got to go up on the Skypark and zip line at UNF EcoAdventure this afternoon and we had a blast! Thank you to everyone who came out!

Next Wednesday (9/24) we will be going to UNF EcoAdventure’s Skypark and Zipline! Meet at the EcoAdventure pavilion (across from parking services in lot 100) at 4:45pm.

Please make sure to wear closed toed shoes as it is required to participate.

September is approaching! Here is Climbing Club’s schedule for the next month:
• Next week (9/3) we will be meeting at the Osprey Cliff to learn some technique
• The following week (9/10) you will be able to use the techniques you have learned at Beaches Rock Gym, where we will be climbing together. Club will be there at 6pm and there is a day pass discount for climbing club members (also if you bring your student ID you can get free rental shoes!)
• 9/17 we will be back at the Osprey Cliff for fun and climbing games!
• 9/24 we will be going to UNF EcoAdventure to go on their SkyPark and Zip line. Please meet at gear checkout (right across from parking services) at 4:45pm. (MUST WEAR CLOSED TOED SHOES TO PARTICIPATE)

Our first meeting will be this Wednesday (8/20) at 8pm at The Osprey Cliff climbing wall in the UNF SWC. Come meet other climbers, play fun climbing games, and learn more about what club will be doing this semester!
