So here’s the real story behind what happened at CDP. It’s started when our founder Lance Heck took an awesome bunch of kids to Dreams Park with the Ormond Beach Golden Spikes in 2012. The boys had a blast, but they were just one of 104 teams trying to navigate an amazing week and play as deep as they could. They finished somewhere in the middle third but at the closing ceremony, Coach Lance walked over to home plate and took a picture of it. “One day, I’m coming back to win this thing”.

He told people all spring Rob’s guys are going up there to win it… and they did just that. Standing on the top row of bleachers, waiving a giant Arrows logo flag looking down on his own 11 year old son thinking about coming back next year, he thought “this is Cooperstown, dreams park magic. God is so good”.

Every player has their own experience at Cooperstown. The travel up and back, the time in the barracks, the cool mornings and the escape from the rest of the world creates a baseball players sanctuary that some can’t enjoy. We believe every kid should get a chance to do something like this. Dream big and work hard.

Saturday at 9am we’re going to do our last 11u and 12u tryout. We’re looking to create an entire new team in 12u. Our 11u teams are both looking to solidify their rosters.

Disclaimer: it’s hard to be an Arrow. The expectations are high. The level of disciple required to succeed is high. This is baseball, it is hard. We love the game. We love our park. We love Jesus.
