Antonio Johnson’s situation in Jacksonville looks completely different from where it was one year ago.

Last summer, Johnson was the Jaguars’ fourth safety and working as a gunner on special teams. Now, he sits atop the depth chart as a starting safety after finishing 2025 tied for the team lead with five interceptions.

“I feel like it’s night and day, honestly,” Johnson said.

HC Liam Coen pointed to Johnson as the perfect example of what can happen when a young player keeps grinding and takes advantage of his opportunity.

From fighting for snaps to becoming a key part of Jacksonville’s defense, Johnson has earned his way up the depth chart.

Liam Coen loves the sharp instincts of Brian Thomas Jr., emphasizing that once the system clicks completely, the connection will be unstoppable.🐆📈

Jacksonville coordinates its offensive system through the elite arm talent and pocket poise of quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence commands high-efficiency installation sessions throughout summer practices, attacking deep coverage gaps and firing intermediate strikes on schedule.

How he helps the team shows in drawing secondary safety help toward deep perimeter threats, opening up pristine interior rushing channels for the ground attack.

Distributing quick completions along perimeter routes stretches defensive fronts horizontally on early downs.

Establishing ex*****on consistency across summer workouts builds a strong operational foundation for the season ahead.

Travis Hunter landing a starting spot at cornerback and backing up receiver on the Jaguars opening depth chart proves Jacksonville plans to use his two-way talent everywhere.🐆💪

Jacksonville expands its offensive versatility around the rare two-way skill set and fluid movement of Travis Hunter.

Hunter takes on high-volume reps across summer practice, establishing immediate sync with quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

How he helps the team centers on generating dynamic separation at all depths, drawing extra defensive attention, and creating mismatches across the secondary.

Unlocking explosive playmaking opportunities allows the rest of the receiving unit to attack single coverage in space.

Refining route precision throughout training camp lays a dangerous foundation for the team's aerial assault. 🐆⚡

Josh Hines-Allen has quietly become one of the NFL's most productive pass rushers.

The Jaguars star owns 61 career sacks, has earned two Pro Bowl selections, and delivered a breakout 17.5-sack season in 2023 that established him as one of the league's premier edge defenders.

According to this projection, Hines-Allen isn't a Hall of Fame lock yet.

To strengthen his Canton résumé, he'll likely need to continue stacking Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors while adding more elite pass-rushing seasons to an already impressive career.

The Jaguars enjoyed a successful first season under Liam Coen in 2025, finishing 13-4, winning the AFC South and returning to the playoffs before falling to the Bills in the Wild Card Round.

While the offense showed flashes throughout the year, it also lacked consistency at times. Even so, Jacksonville did enough to capture the division title and laid a strong foundation for the future under its new head coach.

Here were the Jaguars' receiving yards leaders during the 2025 season:

💚 Parker Washington — 847 yards
🖤 Brian Thomas Jr. — 707 yards
💚 Brenton Strange — 540 yards
🖤 Jakobi Meyers — 483 yards
💚 Travis Hunter — 298 yards
🖤 Travis Etienne — 292 yards
💚 Dyami Brown — 227 yards
🖤 Tim Patrick — 187 yards
💚 Johnny Mundt — 111 yards

Parker Washington enjoyed a breakout season, while Brenton Strange made a strong impact after returning from injury. Jakobi Meyers also became one of Jacksonville's top playmakers after arriving during the season.

Brian Thomas Jr. still finished second on the team in receiving yards, but after an outstanding rookie campaign, he'll be looking to bounce back and return to the level that made him one of the league's brightest young receivers. With Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr., Brenton Strange and Travis Hunter all returning, Jacksonville still has a talented offensive nucleus to build around.

If the Jaguars can find more consistency on offense in Liam Coen's second season, they'll have every reason to believe they can take another step forward in 2026.
