BPN'S Death Dealer Baits LLC

A Boston firefighter has died following a fall from the third floor of a burning home in the city's Dorchester neighborhood Saturday night.

Robert "Bobby" T. Kilduff Jr., of Rescue Co. 2, suffered severe injuries in the fall at 18 Treadway Road and died at Boston Medical Center despite the best efforts of firefighters on scene, Boston EMS and the hospital staff, Boston Fire Commissioner Rodney Marshall announced at a news conference around midnight.

Kilduff, a third-generation firefighter, was with the Boston Fire Department for 24 years and was a U.S. Marine veteran. He is survived by an adult daughter and son.

"Boston lost a hero tonight," Mayor Michelle Wu said of Kilduff, noting he came from a family of firefighters and he held this calling as the highest duty to serve and protect.
