Pretty good response to day one for pre-entries. Setting up to be a pretty thick field of cars. I just finished putting the MOWA payout into the system and it's amazing how it has grown in the past 3 years. The winner has gone from $4,000 to $6,000... But even 5th place now pays $1,000! Great work by everyone!

Should be a great night that the racers truly want to win in honor of Carolyn!

($100 for this week and another $100 still from that clown from a few weeks ago that scammed the win with his Modified with a windshield he was bringing).

It's finally the week for the Carolyn Schuh Memorial - this year paying $6,000 to win for the MOWA Sprints! Thanks to everyone that has supported this event over the past 5 years and helping it grow into one of the biggest regional sprint car events in the Midwest. A race everyone in all classes truly enjoys participating in to honor Carolyn.

Don't hold me to these payouts because the details fluctuate as more sponsors step-up. But as of late last week it looked like this:

$6,000 to win 410 Sprints
1,250 to win 305 Sprints
$600 to win Modifieds
$600 to win Sportsman
$550 to win Street Stocks - likely group qualifying for Streets by request from a class that has been extremely supportive this year.

I'll round up complete payouts later this week. As always for this event - we don't raise the price beyond a normal MOWA event due to supporters having raised extra payout. $20 Adult Admission/$40 Pit Pass as usual for a MOWA Show.

But make plans to be here and follow-along throughout the week!

Teams - Particularly early-arriving sprint car teams. PLEASE do your best to pit somewhat close to the person next to you. If you are leaving space, make sure it's not oversized for a single trailer. You don't need to cram in - you can still have some space, but there is PLENTY of room in the pits for the number of trailers we expect in 3 classes. We really don't want to park people out in the overflow simply becuase you decided to take up a mile between you and the rig next to you. Do your best and use some sense and courtesy please!

And as for the pits. We figured out our pit speaker issue and it's blown speakers - which we are working on replacing. We patched and parted 3 speakers to get through the next couple of weeks before we upgrade the whole speaker system in both the grandstand and pits. It's certainly not loud, but the bleacher areas should have sound as well as turns 3-4. Sorry... but that's what you've got tonight.

Let's call it "Rookie Night"! Two very familiar "Rookies" sit in 1st and 3rd of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints point standings as the rookies and the rest of our Jacksonville regulars get to finally play on their home turf! This Friday Night - It's the rescheduled Bragging Rights Night featuing the long-awaited Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints, along with Street Stocks and 305 Sprints.

Yes, it's been 'one of those years so far - but glad we found a spot to reschedule this one! Truly a night you don't want to miss - and we've missed plenty in 2026. But at least nobody can say "going to the speedway is getting old!"

Not many nights left this season - you probably should find a way to make it to this one. See you Friday!
