• Feb 28 — 7:30 PM & 2:00 PM matinee WORDS explores language as lived experience, where speech, song, and movement shape connection, meaning, and presence. Dancers inhabit words with double meanings—still, break, release, bound—guiding timing, intention, and relationships while inviting audiences to feel the human pulse behind communication. In a world filtered through screens and social media, WORDS awakens the senses, reminding us how language can truly resonate, connect, and move us.

Saltmarsh Dance is launching a new season of performances that will expand our work beyond Jacksonville, Florida. As a dancer and artist, I’m honored to contribute to new choreography that will reach audiences nationally and internationally.

Join us February 26–28, 2026 in our studio black box at the McKenny Theater for a special evening of dance, live music, film, and original choreography.

Featuring performers Matt Doolin, Evan Pitts, Emily Poli, Aria Rathle, and Suzanne Saltmarsh.

The evening opens with three student choreography works, three guest artist works, and a special feature, followed by Words…, a half-evening work exploring connection, perception, and shared human experience.

I’m looking to buy used stage lighting and related gear for an upcoming dance performance in Jacksonville, FL. Ideally local to avoid shipping. My budget is $2,000–$3,000.

I’m looking for:
• 4–6 stage lights (LED pars/washes, professional quality)
• DMX lighting board/controller
• Power & DMX cables
• Boom stands or small truss for hanging lights

If you’re selling, know someone who is, or have rentals that fit, I’d love to hear from you. I need the gear within the next 3–4 weeks.

We asked Julia her birthday questions::
1. What is your favorite style of dance?
Ballet! It is most meaningful to me because it showcases my technique and pour de bras.
2. How long have you studied with us? This is my 6th year at Saltmarsh Dance. I hold all the practices and performances close to heart and I am hopeful that dancing will continue to be apart of my life.
3. What are some of your favorite memories? My favorite memory was attending YAGP finals in Tampa. This was a unique experience that allowed me to grow my performance skills.
