First time they've started a season that way since 2012.

But after sitting down with Coach Kendrick Po***ck, Rahlai Anderson, and Anoop Monroe...

Okay...

Here's the part I intentionally didn't tell you on Sunday. 😂

Rookie Davis is sitting in an auto repair shop. Getting some work done on his truck.

His phone rings.

Unknown number.

He answers.

“Hey Rookie, this is Brian Cashman.”

And that's how Rookie finds out the New York Yankees have traded him.

Think about that for a second.

You're sitting there waiting on your truck...and the New York Yankees general manager calls to tell you your baseball career is headed somewhere completely different.

For Rookie, it was also the first time he really saw the business side of baseball.

One minute, you're part of the organization you've dreamed about playing for.

Then the phone rings...
And everything changes.

The crew handed out midseason grades.

All nine teams.
A through D.

Some folks are going to agree.
Some aren’t.
And that’s kind of the point.

Even better, former Northside head coach Bob Eason was sitting at the table,so we gave him a QUESTION FOR THE COACH on each team.

Dave gives the grade.
Bob and Preston get to push back or agree.
Coach gets to tell us what this stuff looks like from the other side of the headset.

Northside finally found itself in a little trouble.

Down 7-0 at halftime.
First time they’d trailed all year.
Then...
28 unanswered. 🏈

That’s interesting.

And with former Northside head coach Bob Eason sitting at the table, Dave asked the obvious question:
What actually happens in that locker room at halftime?

Then there’s Croatan.
Swansboro came in 4-0.
Croatan sent them home 4-1 after an impressive 28-0 win.

Yeah...
