25 years ago today We remember the passengers and crew of Flights 11, 175, 77, and 93. We remember the office workers, first responders, and visitors in the Twin Towers who never made it home. We remember the firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who ran toward danger to save others, many giving their lives in the effort. We remember those lost at the Pentagon, and the heroes of Flight 93 who fought back over a Pennsylvania field.
Each name etched in stone was a mother, father, son, daughter, friend, or colleague. Their absence is still felt by families and communities across the country and around the world.
Today we honor their memory, we hold their loved ones in our hearts, and we recommit to the compassion and unity that emerged from tragedy. We will never forget.
