Friday Fitness! Journaling is a great way to begin Self Monitoring! There’s a lot to do on your fitness journey, and it can be hard to remember everything that you’ve accomplished and where you are in your progression. Keeping a journal to track things like macros, exercises reps and weight, heart rate during/after cardio events etc will help you stay on track and push forward every week. Additionally, it’s a great way to build new habits! You can try it this weekend. Write down 2 habits you want to change starting next week and implement them on Monday. Whether it be drinking more water, doing 5 extra minutes of cardio, meditating, reading 10 pages a day, etc. Putting your vision on paper will help you stay on course.

Thursday Thinking! Self Monitoring is the ability to observe and control your actions, emotions and how they present themselves to others. Implementing self monitoring into your daily habits has many benefits such as helping you identify and change behaviors you want to modify and improve attention,curiosity and presence. Not just that, but self monitoring can apply to fitness as well in the form of tracking calories burned, heart rate, weight and reps etc, setting SMART goals and receive real time feedback.

When you focus on the positive things in life, the negatives will fall behind. When you are having negative thoughts, when you’re angry, upset, etc try to shift gears and get your focus back on the positives, your goals, possibilities ahead.

Remember: Fitness isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up, trying your best, and celebrating progress—even when it’s slow.
💪 When the going gets tough, focus on how far you’ve come, not how far you have left to go.
