❤️ We love this every time it happens. ❤️
We’ve been a part of it for over 83 years. That’s right, we’ve been a part of thousands of children’s first fishing experiences since 1943. Generations have counted on Browns Creek Fish Camp, Inc. for their bait, tackle and advice.
Check out what Brandon Morrison’s little boy caught on his new Okuma combo.
Those pictures will be with him for the rest of his life whether they are printed on paper or indelibly etched in his memory. Thank you Brandon for sharing this moment. We absolutely ❤️ these moments in life and for allowing us be a part of it‼️
Congratulations little man, great catch and Brandon thank you for doing great Dad things with you son‼️
We look forward to seeing both of you again soon up the creek.

Courtney has been wearing out the reds up the creek. She stopped by the shop and picked up lures and live bait. She ended up catching fish all day whether it was off the boat or jumping off the boat and fishing from the bank around those “stuck for 6 spots” we all know about the hard way 😁
Come on up the creek for what you need to succeed just like Courtney does.

COMMENT NOW: Atlantic Red Snapper Season ‼️
Florida is continuing to fight for an Atlantic recreational red snapper season in 2026 - and we need you to speak up. To comment, click here: https://bit.ly/4xxTELk.
Earlier this summer, just hours before Florida’s anticipated recreational Atlantic red snapper season was set to begin, a last-minute federal court ruling halted our Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) for Atlantic red snapper state management. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has been working tirelessly since to fight for state-led management solutions that prioritize Florida anglers while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Atlantic red snapper fishery through improved data collection.
The has submitted a revised EFP to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA Fisheries), hoping the historic 2026 recreational season can proceed.
If approved, Florida’s proposal would:
- Test improved, state-led recreational data collection
- Provide more accurate harvest information
- Strengthen long-term management decisions
- Allow for a proposed 31-day Atlantic red snapper recreational season in 2026
NOAA Fisheries is now accepting public comments through Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

“Woody” the wood stork showed up to check out a surf cart and the back to school sale we have going on right now. Quantities are limited and some items are single single items. It’s hot outside and these prices are too‼️
The “life lesson” here is: “The early bird gets the worm” or in this case fish (actually, Woody eats both.

BACK TO SCHOOL SALE — the kids are going back, and you've got fishing to do! 🎣
We counted all the rods, reels, and combos in the shop and marked a bunch down to move. PENN, Abu Garcia, Blackfin, Redbone, and Lee Fisher Nets — combos, inshore and offshore reels, surf rods, cast nets… everything but the fish. Those you've still gotta catch yourself.
Quantities are limited and moving fast — once it's gone, it's gone, so don't let this sale be the one that got away!

Michael Simpson, a government-appointed member of the Miami-Dade Boater Safety and Bay Education Task Force, where he was explicitly chosen to represent and help shape safety policies for the county's waterways, dove in and turned off a juvenile diver’s air supply while the victim was in the water searching for lobsters.
The confrontation began after the suspect claimed another boat was occupying “his” lobster spot. He verbally threatened to cut off the diver’s air before jumping into the water and doing exactly that.
The diver was quickly pulled to the surface, reportedly gasping for air and disoriented, but survived without serious injury. Authorities say the suspect fled the scene and was arrested a few days later, and charged with attempted felony murder.
If convicted, an attempted felony murder charge in Florida can carry decades in prison, with penalties potentially reaching up to life imprisonment depending on the circumstances.
