Peace, Love and Happy Hour at STEEG today!

The ladies kicked off the steeg last night with over 80 very spirited steegers! Gents tonight is your turn to keep the party rolling at the famous Calcutta! Ladies you are also invited .Dont forget we are throwing it back!

Ladies night was such a crazy success! We would like to to take all of the credit... but seriously, the group of ladies we had out there tonight!!!...the absolute best! 🍷🍺🎾

'Twas the night before The Steeg and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even Mad Dog.

All the tennis players were snuggled in their beds with visions of aces and trophies danced in there heads...

Steeg Week is officially here! So here are some kinda, sort of, maybe rules:
1. Have Fun - While this is a seriously competitive tournament the #1 rule at The Florida Yacht Club for any and all events is - Have Fun!
2. Remember the schedule (and if you forget come back here!)
-Wednesday Night - Ladies Night
- Thursday Night - The Calcutta benefiting Daniel
- Friday Hookey Day at The Steeg - Matches Begin
- Friday Night - BOOGIE FREAKS!!! and the best party in Northeast Florida!
- Saturday - More Matches, Happy Hour and a beautiful day on the St. Johns!
- Sunday - Bloody Mary's, More Matches and Finals
3. The theme this year is Throwback - so pull out the polyester or the 1970's Johnny Mac attire
4. If not, Madras is always acceptable at The Steeg - in honor of Past Commodore Stewart B. Steeg
5. Friday is called Hookey Day for a reason - be careful tagging your friends on Friday. They may have called in sick! Why don't you leave the phone and grab a margarita?
6. Carpool - 110 teams, many more spectators = not so many parking spots.
7. Sun Screen - don't forget to lather up, so you can enjoy many hours of great tennis.
8. Flip Flops - There will be foot tan judging - seriously!
9. Check in early and often - lots of matches need to be played so don't miss your match time.
10. When you are having fun - please mention on Facebook, social media or let the volunteers and staff know! (just be careful on Friday)
