🧡 SUMMER CHAKRA SERIES • WEEK 2 • DAY 1
Meet the Sacral Chakra
Last week we explored the Root Chakra—the foundation of safety, stability, and belonging.
This week we move upward to the Sacral Chakra, known in Sanskrit as Svadhisthana.
Located in the lower abdomen, just below the navel, the Sacral Chakra is associated with the element of Water and governs our emotions, creativity, pleasure, relationships, and ability to experience joy.
If the Root Chakra asks, “Am I safe?”
The Sacral Chakra asks, “Can I allow myself to fully experience life?”
This chakra invites us to move, feel, create, connect, and embrace the ever-changing flow of life.
When the Sacral Chakra is balanced, we often experience:
🧡 Creativity and inspiration
🧡 Emotional awareness
🧡 Healthy relationships
🧡 Joy and playfulness
🧡 Flexibility and adaptability
🧡 A healthy relationship with pleasure
When this chakra becomes imbalanced, we may experience:
🌊 Emotional numbness
🌊 Difficulty expressing feelings
🌊 Creative blocks
🌊 Guilt around pleasure or rest
🌊 Feeling disconnected from ourselves or others
🌊 Difficulty adapting to change
The element of the Sacral Chakra is water.
Think about how water moves.
It flows around obstacles.
It changes form.
It adapts.
It nourishes.
This week we’ll explore what it means to live with greater creativity, emotional awareness, self-expression, and joy.
Today’s Affirmation:
🧡 I honor my emotions.
🧡 I welcome creativity into my life.
🧡 I allow myself to experience joy.
Reflection Question:
What brings you genuine joy that you often don’t make enough time for?

The Root Chakra in Everyday Life
When people hear the word “chakra,” they often think about meditation cushions, crystals, or yoga classes.
But the Root Chakra shows up long before we ever step onto a yoga mat.
The Root Chakra influences how safe, secure, and supported we feel in our everyday lives. It affects the foundation upon which everything else is built.
🌳 In Relationships
A balanced Root Chakra helps us feel secure in our connections. We are better able to trust, communicate openly, and maintain healthy boundaries.
When the Root Chakra feels challenged, we may struggle with insecurity, fear of abandonment, clinginess, or difficulty trusting others.
🌳 In Finances
The Root Chakra is closely connected to our sense of survival and stability.
An imbalanced Root Chakra may show up as chronic financial anxiety, scarcity thinking, or a constant fear that there will never be enough.
A balanced Root Chakra allows us to make decisions from a place of stability rather than fear.
🌳 In Stress & Daily Life
When we’re grounded, life’s challenges don’t disappear—but we often feel more capable of meeting them.
We can pause, breathe, and respond instead of reacting.
🌳 In Our Bodies
The Root Chakra reminds us that we belong here.
It invites us to feel at home in our bodies rather than constantly fighting against them.
It reminds us that our worth is not determined by our productivity, appearance, income, or achievements.
It is determined simply by the fact that we exist.
Today’s Reflection:
✨ Where in my life do I feel secure and supported?
✨ Where do I feel like I am constantly operating from fear?
✨ What would help me feel more grounded this week?
Today’s Affirmation:
❤️ I trust myself.
❤️ I trust my foundation.
❤️ I am supported in creating the life I need.
Grounding Practice:
Take a few moments today to notice the things that already support you.
The chair beneath you.
The roof over your head.
The meal on your table.
The people who care about you.
The breath moving through your body.
Sometimes grounding begins with gratitude for what is already here.

Root Chakra Ayurveda & Lifestyle
The Root Chakra is associated with the Earth element, which means it thrives on stability, nourishment, routine, and connection to the physical world.
While yoga and meditation can help support the Root Chakra, our daily habits also play an important role. The foods we eat, the amount of rest we get, and the ways we care for ourselves all contribute to our sense of grounding and security.
One of the beautiful teachings found in both Ayurveda and yoga is that healing doesn’t always happen through doing more. Sometimes it happens through slowing down, simplifying, and reconnecting with the basics.

Root Chakra Meditation & Reflection
So far this week we’ve explored what the Root Chakra is, how it shows up in balance and out of balance, and yoga practices that can help us feel more grounded.
Today, we turn inward.
The Root Chakra, or Muladhara, is our foundation. It influences our sense of safety, stability, belonging, and trust in life. When we feel disconnected from our roots, we often experience anxiety, overwhelm, fear, or a feeling that we must constantly be “on guard.”
Meditation offers us an opportunity to pause and remember that, in this moment, we are here. We are breathing. We are supported.
Today’s simple Root Chakra meditation:
🌎 Sit comfortably or lie down.
🌎 Bring your awareness to your breath.
🌎 Imagine roots growing from the base of your spine and the soles of your feet deep into the earth.
🌎 With each inhale, imagine drawing up strength, stability, and support.
🌎 With each exhale, release tension, worry, and fear.
🌎 Stay for 3–5 minutes or longer if it feels supportive.
Today’s Affirmation:
❤️ I am safe.
❤️ I am supported.
❤️ I belong.
Journal Reflection:
✍️ What people, places, or practices help me feel grounded?
✍️ Where in my life do I feel secure and supported?
✍️ Where do I feel uncertain, and what would help me create a stronger foundation?
Remember, grounding doesn’t mean life is perfect.
It means we learn to stay connected to ourselves even when life feels uncertain.
Take a few moments today to reconnect with your roots.

Yoga for the Root Chakra
When life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or chaotic, one of the most powerful things we can do is reconnect with our bodies.
The Root Chakra, or Muladhara, is associated with stability, safety, and our connection to the Earth. While there are many ways to support this chakra, yoga can be a wonderful tool for cultivating a sense of grounding and presence.
Today’s Root Chakra-supporting poses focus on creating a strong foundation and bringing awareness to the lower body.
🌱 Mountain Pose (Tadasana)
Feel your feet firmly rooted into the earth and notice the support beneath you.
🌱 Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I)
Build strength, stability, and confidence while connecting to your foundation.
🌱 Garland Pose (Malasana)
Encourages grounding through the feet, legs, and pelvis.
🌱 Child’s Pose (Balasana)
A nurturing posture that can help create feelings of safety and support.
🌱 Legs Up the Wall (Viparita Karani)
Allows the nervous system to settle while gently reconnecting you to your breath and body.
Remember, Root Chakra work isn’t about achieving the “perfect” pose. It’s about creating a sense of steadiness within yourself.
Today’s Practice:
❤️ Choose one of these poses.
❤️ Stay for 3–5 breaths.
❤️ Notice how your body feels before and after.
Affirmation:
✨ I am grounded.
✨ I am supported.
✨ I am exactly where I need to be.
Reflection Question:
Which of these poses helps you feel most calm, stable, and connected?

Root Chakra: In Balance & Out of Balance
The Root Chakra, or Muladhara, is often called our foundation. It is connected to our sense of safety, stability, security, and belonging.
When this chakra is balanced, we tend to move through life with a greater sense of trust and steadiness. We feel grounded in our bodies, connected to our communities, and capable of navigating life’s challenges.
When the Root Chakra is out of balance, we may experience fear, anxiety, insecurity, overwhelm, or a persistent feeling that the ground beneath us is shaky.
Remember, an imbalanced chakra is not a failure or a flaw. It is simply information. It is an invitation to slow down and pay attention to what needs support.
Signs of a Balanced Root Chakra:
• Feeling grounded and present
• Trusting yourself and life
• Feeling connected and supported
• Having the energy to meet daily responsibilities
• Feeling a sense of belonging
Signs Your Root Chakra May Need Attention:
• Excessive worry or fear
• Financial stress or scarcity mindset
• Feeling disconnected or isolated
• Difficulty relaxing
• Feeling overwhelmed by daily life
A simple Root Chakra practice for today:
❤️ Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
❤️ Take three slow breaths.
❤️ Feel your feet on the floor.
❤️ Notice the support beneath you.
Then repeat:
✨ I am safe.
✨ I am supported.
✨ I belong.
Reflection Question:
What helps you feel most grounded and supported when life feels uncertain?

❤️ SUMMER CHAKRA SERIES • WEEK 1
This week we begin our journey through the chakras by exploring the Root Chakra, known in Sanskrit as Muladhara.
The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with the element of Earth. It represents our foundation—our sense of safety, stability, security, and belonging.
When the Root Chakra feels balanced, we often feel grounded, supported, and capable of handling life’s challenges. We trust that our basic needs will be met and feel connected to ourselves, our communities, and the world around us.
When this chakra is out of balance, we may experience anxiety, fear, insecurity, chronic stress, or a feeling of being disconnected and unsupported.
The Root Chakra invites us to remember something important:
🌎 We belong here.
🌎 We deserve to take up space.
🌎 We are worthy of safety and support.
Throughout this week, we’ll explore yoga practices, meditation, lifestyle habits, and practical ways to support this foundational energy center.
Today’s affirmation:
I am safe. I am supported. I belong.
Reflection Question:
What helps you feel most grounded and supported in your life?

🌿 Meditation Week – Day 7: Your Practice, Your Way
As we wrap up Meditation Week, here’s the most important thing to remember:
✨ There is no perfect meditation practice.
✨ There is no ideal amount of time.
✨ There is no one “right” way.
There is only your practice.
Maybe meditation for you looks like sitting quietly for 20 minutes.
Maybe it’s taking three mindful breaths before a difficult conversation.
Maybe it’s a walking meditation with your dog, a guided practice before bed, or a moment of gratitude while drinking your morning coffee.
It all counts.
The goal isn’t to become someone different.
The goal is to come home to yourself.
💜 Start small.
💜 Stay consistent.
💜 Be patient.
💜 Let your practice evolve.
💜 Celebrate every time you choose to return to the present moment.
Meditation isn’t about perfection.
It’s about creating a relationship with yourself that is grounded in awareness, compassion, and curiosity.
Whether you’ve followed along every day this week or are just joining us now, you belong here.
Thank you for spending this week exploring meditation with us. We hope you’ve discovered that meditation is not reserved for a select few—it’s a tool available to every body, every mind, and every lifestyle.
Final Reflection Question:
What is one small commitment you can make to yourself this week to support your well-being?
Maybe it’s two minutes of breathing.
Maybe it’s one guided meditation.
Maybe it’s simply pausing before reacting.
Small steps become lasting change.
We’d love to hear your biggest takeaway from Meditation Week in the comments!
