✨Monday Motivation✨
In Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha, the river becomes one of Siddhartha’s greatest teachers.
The river is always moving, always changing, and yet it remains itself. Siddhartha eventually learns not by trying to control the river, but by becoming quiet enough to listen to it.
So today, rather than trying to force ourselves into a particular shape or outcome, we’ll practice listening.
Listening to the breath.
Listening to the body.
Listening to the places where we are holding on or resisting.
Notice where you might be trying to control the current.
And then, just for today, see what happens when you soften your grip.
You don’t have to stop moving. You don’t have to become passive. You simply allow yourself to move with greater awareness.
Let the practice be less about arriving somewhere and more about being fully present for the journey.
And then, take the practice with you off the mat. Maybe it’s pausing before reacting when a conversation doesn’t go the way you hoped, or letting go of the need to control every detail when plans suddenly change. In those moments, ask yourself: Can I soften my grip, listen, and move with what is here?
Our affirmation today is:
I soften into the present moment and trust the flow.
