At the Y, we welcome all 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ This Pride Month and beyond, we celebrate our LGBTQ+ community members, and we’re proud to be a safe, supportive, and inclusive community for all who walk through our doors.

College access. It starts inside at the Y! On June 17, we hosted our 2026 College Decision Day at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (), celebrating 85 YMCA Rowe Scholar teens on their way to higher education.

Our Rowe Scholars program is a free, citywide initiative that equips teens with comprehensive college and career guidance. At this year’s College Decision Day, 13 Rowe Scholars were awarded nearly $75,000 in scholarships.

The excitement before the big game. It starts inside at the Y! In May, announced it will provide 1,000 FIFA World Cup 2026™ tickets to local youth from communities across New York and New Jersey. And this month, the big day finally arrived!

Y kids from MS 217Q Robert A. Van Wyck () were among a group of local youth who attended the June 16 game between France and Senegal at NYNJ Stadium! To capture the energy, Airbnb also provided instant cameras to youth as they prepared to watch the kickoff in person.

We love seeing Y kids gain unforgettable experiences! Thanks to ’s effort to making the FIFA World Cup 2026™ experience more accessible and affordable for New Yorkers, Y families were among the 500 selected to attend a FIFA World Cup game this Saturday inside MetLife Stadium. And guess what?! Some of our families got to sit next to during the game!
