We are thrilled that Abbie Martin has committed to swim at the University of Jamestown. Abbie currently is a senior at Liberty High School, where she will graduate at the end of this school year. Abbie swims for both her high school and Roadrunner Aquatics, where she competes in the 50, 100 and 500 freestyle events. Abbie said her favorite thing about swimming is, “I enjoy working hard and pushing myself with my teammates. The support of my team makes it feel like family.”

Coach Alex is excited for Abbie to join the team, and sees her taking a place as a leader academically, and fitting in well with the group of ladies from CA we have here. “I think Abbie will quickly find that UJ is home, and I look forward to seeing her mentor her peers as she grows on our team.” Abbie’s favorite thing about UJ is how the staff members and admissions counselors have been so helpful with answering all of her questions. We are so excited to have you join us Abbie!

ST. PAUL, Minn.-- The University of Jamestown women's swimming and diving team placed third of six teams at the Roger Ahlman Invitational, hosted by Macalester College.

We are excited to announce that Blanca Espinosa has committed to swim at the University of Jamestown. Blanca currently is a senior at Topeka West High School, graduating in spring 2022. Blanca swims for the Topeka Swim Association, where she represents in freestyle and fly events. Blanca has some pretty impressive times - including a 2:26.34 200 Fly, a 5:35.36 500 Free, and a 2:05.76 200 Free. Blanca’s favorite things about swimming are the feeling after a race, practices and having fun with her teammates.

Blanca said she knew UJ was the place for her because, “The medical majors they have, the coach is really nice and the campus”. Coach Raasch can’t wait to have Blanca join the team and be a leader among her peers not only in the pool but also out of the water with her positive personality. Blanca says one thing she looks forward to is making TikToks with the team. We can’t wait to welcome you to campus next fall Blanca.

We are THIRLLED with how mid season went for us at the Augustana Invite. We earned so many automatic cuts for our relays, that every lady who was there with our team will be going to Nationals! We have moved up from being ranked nationally at #14 (championship & dual formats) to now taking spot #12 (championship format) and #13 (dual format).

Here are some highlights:

We had 9 season bests and 19 lifetime bests

200 Medley Relay, 800 Free Relay and 400 Free relay all achieved their NAIA Nationals Automatic cuts.

Sulinke Van Den Berg got her B cut in the 100 fly, 200 Free, 100 back, and 100 free.

Kacey Ross swam her B cut in the 100 Free.

Michelle Felici Komet earned her B cut in the 100 back.

Jada Shorter placed 10th in the 3m 6 dive competition, and 7th in the 1m 6 dive competition.
