Thank you everyone who came out to the Finals! We appreciate people braving the weather and making this event happen. See you next year!

Dear contestants and spectators,

This rodeo didn’t just happen. It didn’t get put together in a dramatic week of maximal work, to end with a pat on the back, ready to start the rodeo. This finals rodeo has been on the books since last year’s finals ended. This is brought to you by a committee with sweat, frustration, time, and dedication. There were 75+ sponsors brought together from around North Dakota so there could be money won and prizes to be had. The grounds prep took weeks: dragging and leveling the arena, moving bleachers in, cleaning the crows nest, heating the office, setting out garbage cans etc.
This rodeo didn’t just happen.
And when you all show up, we will have a rodeo. But someone has to open the gate. Someone has to let out the calves, pull the barrier, hold the goat, and dig for barrels. And when you are done, someone has to shut off the lights, pick up garbage, and makes sure everyone else has what they need so we can do it all over again for the next round.
And after champions are crowned and everyone is loaded and heading home, someone has to stay and dump water troughs, pull down banners, and winterize the ground so we can be ready for next year.
Behind every great Rodeo is someone who put their time and pride into the event. We know this year hasn’t been what everyone expected but we are here none the less.

Friday at 6pm, Saturday at 4pm, and Sunday at 1pm. Come to 1 or come to them all!

Congrats Hope Ebel is Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2018. She was crowned Oct. 8 during the championship round of the Badlands Circuit Finals Rodeo. Ebel earned top honors in the pageant’s personality, horsemanship and appearance categories plus was voted the congeniality winner. Ebel is a 19-year-old with a senior status at North Dakota State University majoring in animal science and biomedicine.
