The results are in from the 2026 September Women's Challenge hosted by Maryland Polo Club! Two teams competed for the winning title beginning on Friday, Sept. 11th and finishing on Sunday, Sept. 13th.

Ears Back was anchored by Marissa Wells with three Marlan Farm I/I players Hannah Weber, Annie Cate Bissonnette, and Ana Grace Karpovich. The opposing team was sponsored by Cobalt Management Services with Maryland Polo Club members Anna Winslow Palacios in the #4 position setting plays with Ashley Mackenzie at #3. Tammy Wiggs settled in at #2 and Garrison Forest School's Reagan Barnes was in the front at #1.

Friday night's match was won by Ears Back, which put them a few goals ahead going into Sunday's match. Cobalt came on strong early in Sunday's match with a tie score going into the 4th chukkar. Within the last exciting minute of the game Ears Back widened the winning margin securing the win!

A well-deserved "MVP" award was given out to newcomer Hannah Weber. Hannah was one of the youngest players in the tournament.

Anna Winslow Palacios brought an immeasurable string of polo ponies with her for this final weekend of women's polo. Maryland Polo Club awarded her "best" Best Playing Pony to "Tucumana."

If you are looking for photos from the tournament, several photographers were present: Paul Zappala, J. Mitchell Adolph, Leisa Kelley, Kevin Moore, and John Drennan.

Results are in from Maryland Polo Club's annual Labor Day Cup Tournament from Sunday, August 30th. As our season draws to a close, this match usually brings together our amateur members bordering on a handicap raise teamed up with our club pros. While the pros are setting plays, the amateur members are running to goal dominating the scoreboard! Club manager professional Parker Pearce, anchored Lydia Williamson's team Double Down including members Sarah Lynch, Pam Patton and women's professional Courtney Asdourian Pelosini. Our season professional Fernando Pelosini, guided Atlas Restaurant Group's team designed by Tom Garner with Maryland Polo Club's Posey Obrecht and Marcos Tellechea from Argentina.

Lydia Williamson's Double Down never let up for 4 chukkars including back to back goals by Pam Patton. View more live goals scored by Lydia in the comments below! Girl power!

Atlas Restaurant Group's Tom Garner was on fire for the entire game, but Sarah Lynch held off Marcos Tellechea throughout the 4th chukkar to secure the win for Double Down!

A well-deserved "MVP" was awarded to Tom Garner. "Best Playing Pony" sponsored by The Mill was earned by Parker Pearce's pony, "Tempranillo," played by Sarah Lynch.

We would like to thank our loyal Staff that has not missed a Sunday game all summer. Our gatekeeper, Dawn Frick and dog Stormy greets all carloads with a warm smile, assistant Patrick Gallagher creates a perfect venue, Sunday announcer Presley Galland keeps us informed play-by-play and grooving to her tunes, while Parker Pearce manages every match and also manages to play every chukkar!

Be sure to check out Christopher Szumlanski's photos from today!

We still have more action to come! Two more Sundays left...Two more Fridays left...club matches and a weekend final of the last Women's Challenge! We now extend our season into September with a touch of Autumn in the air!

When an irrigation emergency strikes, you need a team that can respond fast!

Maryland Polo Club recently had an unexpected irrigation issue when our polo barn project damaged the facility's high-presuure irrigation main. After the initial repair failed and the line ruptured again, Terra Land Services stepped in and got us back up and running immediately.

We are grateful to Terra Land Services for their quick response and the work they have done to help keep Maryland Polo Club running smoothly.
