Jasper Park and Recreation Department The Jasper Park and Recreation Department was established to support the recreational activities.

Areas available for recreation include the Municipal Swimming Pool, 18 neighborhood parks, 13 lighted tennis courts, Camp Carnes, Beaver Lake, the Arnold F. Habig Community Center, the 18 hole Municipal Golf Course, the Alvin C. Ruxer Golf Course and Driving Range, the 2.1 mile Jasper Riverwalk and Dave Buehler Plaza, Jasper City Mill, the "Spirit of Jasper" train rides, and the Jasper Youth Sports Complex.

With a forecast heat index of 105 in the 5:00 hour, all outdoor activities must be cancelled.

Practices can resume after 6:30pm at coach discretion.

The 1918 Alexander One-Room Schoolhouse will be open from 9:00AM – 12:00PM each Saturday until October 3 during the Jasper Farmer’s Market. Discover how life was for students and teachers in a one room school. Educators will be onsite to share information. Find out more about the history of Jasper and Dubois County as you step back in time. There is no cost for this event. Parking is available near the Jasper Public Library.
