It’s been a hot one today! The horses are definitely ready for some cooler weather!

The mares watching the calves up close, they’re all so curious about each other. It’s fun to watch the calves run up to the fence and then run away from the horses

Bet this old barn didn’t know the next mule to come in would be a mini ☺️💕. Our barn was originally built in 1905 to house my great great grandfather’s mules that he used to work the land. A lot of the wood on the interior of the barn is still original and even has chew marks from the mules that once pulled the equipment on the other side of the old milk barn. Their harnesses are still in the hayloft above the tack room where they once hung. I think it’s pretty cool to have a mule here again.
