Lincoln celebrated his birthday with a glider flight! He flew last year too! It is the beginning of a fun celebration for Lincoln's birthday next week. His family (father and grandfather in the photo) joined him and were very patient, as we had to wait for a thunderstorm to pass by the field. We finally got Lincoln airborne and he had a great time. He states aviation is in his future! Happy Birthday Lincoln!

Ride of the week :
Happy Birthday Lillie! Today is Lillie's Birthday. She flew with us Saturday. It was a present from her family. She is very interested in Aviation and her mother has a pretty cool background growing up in a banner towing environment! Thanks to Chris Sanders for flying with Lillie. She has flown in the EAA Young Eagles program also. This was her first glider flight. From the looks of it, she enjoyed it!

The golf course just 3 miles away from the field is showing progress. The afternoon thunderstorms are no doubt helping their sod effort. It's called Candyroot. Here is an aerial view from a glider!

Remembering my dear friend, Robin Fleming, while cycling in a 300 mile fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Robin passed July 2013 from lung cancer. His son, Grant Fleming has Robin's love of life and continues his father's light...

Ride of the week: Happy Birthday to Cindy DeEtte. Cindy came to the field in the past with family to celebrate her father's birthday on at least two occasions. Her father wanted a glider flight for a birthday present. DeEtte never went up in a glider to fly on these occasions, because it was her Dad's special day. July 18th is her special day. She spent it with us, going for a glider flight for the first time. Thanks to Chris Sanders for his enthusiasm in the role of ride pilot! Happy Birthday
