Something new is coming to Waverly Park - Louisville’s first adaptive mountain bike trail!

A section of the Clinic Loop is currently being transformed to make the trail accessible for adaptive mountain bikes, which are specially designed to allow riders with disabilities or mobility limitations to experience mountain biking and the outdoors in ways traditional trails may not accommodate.

The improvements to the Clinic Loop will create more room for adaptive bikes to navigate the trail and help remove barriers that have traditionally made mountain biking difficult or inaccessible for some riders.

Catalyst Sports and KYMBA have been working alongside Louisville Parks and Recreation to bring this project to Waverly Park, with work expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

A ribbon cutting will be held Saturday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Waverly Park to officially open and celebrate Louisville’s first adaptive mountain bike trail.

I am excited for this great addition right here in Southwest Louisville!
