Jenison offers two great basketball opportunities for JPS students, and both focus on teaching basketball fundamentals while building confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the game.

Whether your child is looking for a shorter recreational season through Jenison Youth Basketball (JYB) or is interested in being evaluated for Jenison Wild, we’ve put together the guide below to help you compare the two programs.

If you already know your child wants to play Jenison Youth Basketball (JYB), no evaluation is needed. Watch for JYB registration to open in August.

Whether you’re new to basketball or already love the game, all Jenison students are welcome! Bring your basketball (if you have one), water bottle, gym shoes and energy! 🔥

It's hard to believe, but the school year is almost over! 🏀

That means it's time to start thinking about basketball season. Registration is now open for Jenison Wild Basketball Evaluations for boys and girls who will be entering grades 3–6 this fall and attend Jenison Public Schools.

Evaluation Dates:
• Girls going into 3rd & 4th Grade: August 23 at 5:15 PM
• Girls going into 5th & 6th Grade: August 23 at 6:45 PM
• Boys going into 3rd & 4th Grade: August 30 at 5:15 PM
• Boys going into 5th & 6th Grade: August 30 at 6:45 PM

These evaluations help determine the best placement for each player and provide an opportunity to learn more about our Jenison Wild and Jenison Youth Basketball programs.

If your child is interested but cannot attend the scheduled evaluation date, please reach out. We will work with you to arrange a makeup evaluation.
