Helping People Succeed Thank you for being a friend to Helping People Succeed! We create opportunities to partner through volunteering, collaborating and philanthropy.

Your support drives our mission: To empower individuals of all ages and abilities - and their families – through comprehensive intervention and disability services promoting growth and belonging. We help people succeed through quality services by developing, expanding and providing high-quality, accessible, personal development services that lead to healthy, productive and independent lives. We help people succeed through community engagement by increasing community awareness of the services we provide and the critical needs of those we serve. We help people succeed by improving stability of support for our mission, and dedicated staff, by searching for and securing diverse and sufficient public and private revenue streams, and managing the resources in productive, innovative and accountable ways. We help people succeed by cultivating relationships within and outside of the organization that enable us to accomplish our mission more effectively and to expand the culture of support for those we serve.

Did You Know...?

Your property tax dollars are helping children succeed and families thrive right here on the Treasure Coast.

Through the Children’s Services Councils of Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties, local investments provide 37% of Helping People Succeed’s revenue and help make critical services for children and families possible.

Behind that number are real moments of impact, a new mom gaining confidence, a child learning to communicate, a parent finding support, and a young person discovering friendship and belonging.

From developmental screenings, early intervention and prevention to youth programming, this funding helps us identify needs early, strengthen families, and support children as they grow.

To our local Children’s Services Councils and Treasure Coast taxpayers: thank you for investing in stronger children, stronger families, and a stronger community.

A $1,000 gift is helping local children learn, connect, and thrive!

Yesterday, Cheree represented Helping People Succeed at the Port St. Lucie Business Women luncheon and proudly accepted a generous donation in support of our Music & Playgroups.

Through music, dance, art, games, and rhymes, these groups promote healthy development, encourage social interaction, and strengthen parent-child bonds. This gift will help us continue creating meaningful experiences for children and families throughout St. Lucie County.

We are grateful to the Port St. Lucie Business Women for investing in our community and helping families thrive.

Since 1980, the Port St. Lucie Business Women have awarded tens of thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships to local organizations and women.

Thank you for helping us make a lasting difference for Helping People Succeed and so many other impactful community partners!

Why I Serve with Tom Campenni

For more than a decade, Tom Campenni has been a champion for Helping People Succeed. As our current Board Chair, advocate, and longtime donor, Tom has seen firsthand the impact our programs have on individuals and families across the Treasure Coast.
He believes in creating communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, belong, and reach their fullest potential.

Staff had a great afternoon at the Children’s Services Council Annual Awards Luncheon yesterday.

From a fun retro look at statistics from the ’90s, 2000s, and today, to important conversations about how local property tax dollars help fund programs serving children and families, it was both entertaining and informative.

Sean’s genuine passion for advocating for children always stands out. You can feel how deeply he believes in this work and in the nonprofits helping local families every day.

At Helping People Succeed, we see that impact firsthand through CSC St. Lucie’s support of programs like:

Today, Helping People Succeed had the opportunity to spend time with the delightful women of Helping Hands at Immanuel Lutheran Church, a group that truly lives by their message to “Be the Light.”

Founded in January 2026 with a heart for community, Helping Hands has already made a meaningful impact by partnering with local nonprofits and finding ways to support those who need it most.

Cheree Ramirez had the opportunity to share how Helping People Succeed walks alongside individuals of all ages and abilities, including those with visible and hidden disabilities, and their families across Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee counties. Through our comprehensive, wraparound approach, we help connect individuals and families with the support, resources, and opportunities they need throughout the lifespan.

And in true “Be the Light” fashion, these incredible women generously donated $445 in gift cards to Helping People Succeed. These gifts will directly support families we serve with groceries, household essentials, and gas.

Thank you for being the light and for showing what it looks like when a community comes together to help people succeed. 💛

Every year, Helping People Succeed serves nearly 7,500 individuals of all ages and abilities and their families, providing comprehensive intervention and disability services promoting growth and belonging, across the Treasure Coast.
