remember that nothing is neutral ❤️‍🔥

everything we’re doing is sowing to reap an outcome.

I saw this quote yesterday and was reminded that each decision made is sowing into who I’m becoming and what my future will look like.

and how grateful I am that God is always at work;
convicting me of the things I’m wasting time on that I can change and the thoughts I think that again, can be changed.
and that I’m not stuck.
that although we can’t always change the season of life we’re in; I’m a big believer that the Lord can use it to change us;
to show us our great need for Him rather than a perfect set of circumstances and that who we are matters more than just getting all we think we need in order to love life and be good people.

because the hard things don’t make us the version of ourselves we don’t like but rather reveal the parts of us that’s already there.

and that frees me because it’s not longer “they make me angry” or “if only that didn’t happen then I wouldn’t be bitter” or “if only I got in to that thing than I would be content”;
and rather shows us that our problems aren’t a different set of circumstances but our need for a Saviour.
let these things show you your need for God’s grace.

& how you treat whatever is before you, shows what you value and treasure; and if it’s Christ than whatever season you’re in; even if it’s one you’d rather not go through,
can see that it’s not wasted.
that it can be a place for you to be faithful even when it’s toughest and for you to make decisions that’ll sow into the character you want your future self to be;
that you’d be more like Christ.

don’t waste today worrying about tomorrow or clinging to the past or by waiting for “better” days.

choose to make these days worthwhile by doing what you know will matter at the end.

we need a lot less than we think we do in order to enjoy what God has already given us; may we be faithful, grateful & watch what we let our minds dwell on & how we spend our time.

may we make the most out of this day that the Lord has given; it is a gift.

Blessed

This is Matrix movie star Keanu Reeves. He was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister battled leukemia.

No bodyguards, no luxury houses. Keanu lives in an ordinary apartment and likes wandering around town and often seen riding a subway in NYC.

When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, one crying as he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 - On the same day, Keanu deposited the necessary amount in his bank account. In his career, he has donated large sums to hospitals including $75 million of his earnings from “The Matrix” to charities.

In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery & bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.

In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.

In life, sometimes the ones most broken from inside are the ones most willing to help others.

This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought:
