🦌🔥 HUSBAND AND WIFE DOUBLE TROUBLE!!! THREE DEER DOWN!!! 🔥🦌
WHAT A DAY FOR BACKDAM PRODUCTIONS!!! 💥
Today we had the pleasure of taking Amy and Mike out on their FIRST DEER HUNT EVER!!! They originally reached out during our early winter season, but those freak snowstorms forced us to reschedule. Well, GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!!! 🙌🔥
James took Amy on a fully guided hunt while Merican Mike took Mike to a completely different location.
Amy’s morning started off WILD!!! Before legal shooting light, she watched a buck get bumped out by a BEAR!!! 🐻🦌 But shortly after, another beautiful buck came strolling through, and Amy made a PERFECT shot!!! HE DIDN’T GO 20!!! 🎯💥
Meanwhile, Mike and Mike were busy watching squirrels! 🐿️😂
After a midday break to celebrate Amy’s first buck, James took her to another stand, and SHE DID IT AGAIN!!! Amy harvested a button buck, making it TWO DEER ON HER FIRST DAY EVER HUNTING!!! 🏆🔥
At this point, we were keeping Collin from The Mobil Butcher BUSY!!! 😂🥩
But Mike wasn’t going home empty handed!!! Right around 5 PM, a beautiful mature doe came in from a completely unexpected direction. Mike wasted NO TIME, placing a beautiful double lung shot, and she went down within 50 yards!!! 💥🦌
THREE DEER!!! TWO FIRST TIME HUNTERS!!! ONE UNFORGETTABLE DAY!!! 🔥🏆
A HUGE congratulations to Amy and Mike! Thank you both for trusting Backdam Productions with your first hunting experience and hunting hard all day! And a special shoutout to Collin from The Mobile Butcher for taking care of all three deer!

🐻🏹 NJ BLACK BEAR SEASON | DAY 5 RECAP!
THE CURSE HAS FINALLY BEEN BROKEN! WELL... SORT OF! 😂🐻
After several days of skunks, turtles, hawks, and absolutely ZERO bears, our client FINALLY laid eyes on the animal he’s been chasing!
We decided to switch things up and move him to a different location during the afternoon. Sure enough, he was greeted by a BLACK BEAR! 🐻🔥
Unfortunately, the bear was just a little too far for a shot. But hey, after all these days, we’ll take the progress! 😂
Meanwhile, Mike and Sam waited for the morning rain to pass before heading into the woods. Mother Nature had other plans, and it wasn’t long before another storm sent them right back out! ⛈️🌲
Despite the terrible weather, today was a WIN in our books!
DAY 5 BY THE NUMBERS:
🐻 1 bear spotted
🎯 0 shots taken
⛈️ 1 stormy day
😂 1 curse partially broken!
Our client has officially seen his first bear while hunting. Now there’s only one thing left to do...

🐻🏹 NJ BLACK BEAR SEASON | DAY 4 RECAP!
Day 4 is officially in the books, and let’s just say the bears had other plans today! 😂🌲
Backdam Productions had two clients in the woods today, hunting two separate locations.
Our first client had one specific request. He wanted a BIG bear! 🐻💪
We’ve been keeping an eye on a pretty impressive black bear showing up on one of our trail cameras. After sharing the photos with our client, he was more than happy to take his chances at that location.
He put in a full day in the blind, patiently waiting for that big boy to make an appearance. Unfortunately, the bear never showed up! That’s hunting for you. Sometimes the trail cameras tell one story, and the woods tell another!
Now for our second client... 😂
This gentleman has been telling us that he’s CURSED because he’s never actually seen a bear while hunting.
Well, after today, we’re starting to believe him! 🤣🐻
We put him in one of our proven bear producing spots, a location with plenty of bear activity and a history of success.
And what did he see?
🦨 ONE SKUNK!
🐢 ONE TURTLE!
🐻 ZERO BEARS!
At this point, we’re not sure whether we need to change his hunting location or call somebody to lift this curse! 😂
But the good news is he’s not giving up! He’ll be back in the woods with us tomorrow, and we’re determined to help him finally lay eyes on a black bear!

🐻🏹 NJ BLACK BEAR SEASON | DAY 3 RECAP!
Day 3 is officially in the books, and let’s just say the bears had other plans today! 😂🌲
Backdam Productions had two clients in the woods today, hunting two separate locations.

🐻🏹 NJ BLACK BEAR SEASON | DAY 2 RECAP!
Day 2 is in the books, and the bears are definitely moving! 🔥🌲
Today, Backdam Productions had two clients in the woods on semi guided hunts!
Our first client was accompanied by his father, and the two had some really good action throughout the day! They spotted two bears in the morning, including one that came within 20 yards of their blind. After getting a good look, they decided it wasn’t quite the size they were looking for and let it walk. Another shooter sized bear was spotted farther out but never closed the distance.
Later in the evening, another shooter sized bear made an appearance, but once again, it stayed just out of reach!
Our second client also had some excitement, spotting a group of bears off in the distance earlier in the day. Unfortunately, they never came close enough for our client to determine whether it was a sow with cubs or a group of independent bears.
Meanwhile, Mike was in the woods looking to fill a tag of his own, and he did just that! Except it wasn’t a bear... IT WAS A BUCK! 🦌💪
As evening rolled around, Mike found himself surrounded by a few smaller bears but decided to let them walk.
DAY 2 BY THE NUMBERS:
🌲 2 clients hunting
🐻 Multiple bear sightings throughout the day
🏹 0 bears harvested by Backdam
🦌 1 buck successfully harvested by Mike
💪 Plenty of action and opportunities still ahead!
THE BEARS ARE DEFINITELY AROUND! 🐻🔥
Sometimes hunting is about knowing when to take the shot and when to let one walk. We’re proud of our clients for their patience and decisions in the woods.
