What a great night celebrating our Johnston Girls Soccer team at our banquet! We recognized so many accomplishments on and off the field.

A huge thank you to ShortE's BBQ⁠ for their continued support of our program. The food was fantastic, and the space was perfect!

We also want to give a special shoutout to Coach Eric Shafer as he steps down as head coach to spend more time with his family and support his kids in their activities. Thank you, Coach, for everything you’ve done for Johnston Girls Soccer over the years. Your impact on this program is something we’ll always be grateful for, and you’ll be missed!

Our Dragons fell to Linn-Mar 3-1 last night, coming up just short of a trip to State. This team showed tremendous growth, resilience, and heart all season long.
Keep your heads high, girls. The future is bright, and we’ll be back.

Tonight, Johnston defeated Urbandale 1-0 after double overtime and winning 4-1 in the penalty kick shootout in the Class 3A Region 7 Semifinal at DCG.
