Fitter and Faster Swim Camps are back to Summit Pool in August 2026!

Hi Blaze Swim Club and Johnston Families,

We're excited to share that we will be hosting a Fitter & Faster swim camp right here at Summit Pool on August 22-23. This high-impact camp series is designed to break down elite racing fundamentals, focusing closely on technical precision across core strokes, underwater power, and explosive transitions. Swimmers will receive elite instruction, personalized technical feedback, and targeted drills engineered to refine their mechanics and build true competitive confidence.

We are thrilled to announce that German Olympian and NCAA All-American Rafael Miroslaw will be leading this camp! Rafael is one of the most dynamic freestyle swimmers in the world, having competed on the sport's biggest international stages, including the Olympic Games and World Championships. As a standout powerhouse at Indiana University, he shattered records and claimed multiple Big Ten titles. On the pool deck, Rafael brings an infectious energy and a deep understanding of elite racing strategy, making him exceptional at teaching young athletes the precise technical adjustments needed to drop time.

Registration is officially open, and space in each session is strictly limited to ensure quality time with the clinicians.

Our next Coach, Jake Staton!

Jake began swim lessons at age 5, and began swimming in Blaze as an 8 and under swimmer! He continued swimming competitively with Blaze until finishing high school, then joined Blaze as a coach right after!

Blaze Swim Club will open for registrations starting tomorrow July 2 for the 2026-2027 Short Course Yards Season that begins in September!

Tyler has been with Johnston and Blaze for about 5 years now, with a background in high school competitive swim. If you know Tyler, you know he is the funniest person in the room!

Raegan just started working with Johnston and Blaze this summer. She’s been working in aquatics for 7 years now, and is excited to be a part of the program!

Starting off, meet our Head Coach and Blaze Administrator, Olivia Crawford!

Olivia has been with Johnston and Blaze for four years and previously worked at Knoxville. With an extensive background in aquatics and competitive swimming, she oversees the majority of operations with Blaze and the Summit Pool, helping ensure everything runs smoothly both in and out of the water.
