Makos 15U at Bryant University Team Camp

Another great day of learning and competing for our 15U Makos at the Bryant University Team Camp.

Experiences like these go beyond the scoreboard. They give our players the opportunity to compete against quality competition, learn from college coaches, and experience what it takes to play at the next level.

We’re proud of the way this group continues to represent the Makos with effort, energy, and a willingness to improve every day.

The Makos Baseball tryout scheduled for today August 6th has been postponed.

We are currently working on a new date and will share those details as soon as they’re finalized.

🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

The Ocean State Makos 15U brought home the hardware after earning two hard-fought wins on Championship Sunday and capturing the 2026 Firecracker Sports 15U Championship!

The Makos opened the day with a 4-3 win over Baseball NB 15U. Trailing 3-0 early, they battled all the way back and took the lead with two runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Ben Ride delivered a complete-game performance on the mound, allowing five hits and only two earned runs across seven innings.

The Makos then defeated 518 Velo 15U, 8-3, in eight innings to win the championship.

With the game tied entering the eighth, the Makos exploded for six runs on six hits to take control. Cooper Lantz delivered one of the biggest hits of the inning with a two-run single.

Makos 16U White Stays Perfect!

The Ocean State Makos 16U White put together an impressive weekend, going 3-0 with contributions up and down the lineup while outscoring opponents 29-6.

🔹 Game 1: 8-0 win over 508 Brawlers
The Makos opened the weekend with a dominant three-hit shutout. Jeremy Howes set the tone on the mound before William Clarke and Sam Brandies closed the door. Tommy McGee drove in three runs, and the Makos wreaked havoc on the bases with 11 stolen bases.

🔹 Game 2: 13-5 win over Nighthawks
The offense exploded for 13 runs, highlighted by a six-run third inning. Tommy McGee continued his hot weekend with 4 RBI, while Griffin Gorman, JT Raftery, Ryan Campion, and Sam Brandies all chipped in offensively. Sam Brandies added two scoreless innings in relief to seal the win.

🔹 Game 3: 8-1 win over Maine Guides
The Makos finished the weekend with another complete performance. Jayce Lanterman tossed a complete-game two-hitter, allowing just one unearned run while striking out eight. McGee drove in three more runs, and the offense collected 10 hits in the victory.

Weekend Sweep for the Makos 15U!

The Ocean State Makos 15U put together a strong weekend, going 3-0 while outscoring opponents 30-8.

Game 1
✅ 8-0 vs. NPBB Black

A combined two-hit shutout highlighted the opener as Zach Riker struck out 9 over six dominant innings before Shamus McConnell closed it out. Offensively, Jacob Barry (3 hits, 2 RBI) and Cooper Lantz (2 hits, 2 RBI) led the way.

✅ 12-2 vs. Sluggers Premier

The bats came alive with 14 hits as Tommy Casali and Eddie Wenzl each collected three hits, while Cooper Lantz, Jacob Barry, and Pedro Cardoso added multi-hit performances. On the mound, Ben Ride and Eddie Wenzl combined to throw four scoreless innings without allowing a hit.

✅ 10-6 vs. Top Level Athletes

The Makos closed out the day with another win behind 13 hits and an aggressive running game, swiping 12 bases. Jesus Corona Jr. led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 day and four RBI, while Tommy Casali, Cooper Lantz, Jacob Barry, and Eddie Wenzl all turned in multi-hit performances.

Ocean State Makos 16U Blue picked up another strong team win Tuesday, defeating GBG Northeast 16U Black 7-2.

T. Boiani continued his impressive summer on the mound, throwing a complete game while allowing just 2 runs (1 earned) over 6 innings, scattering 7 hits, walking 3, and striking out 2.

17U MAKOS UPDATE ⚾️🌊

The 17U Makos closed out the weekend with a 7-3 victory over Vikings College Prep at Curry College.

A strong performance on both sides of the ball saw the Makos capitalize on opportunities at the plate while the pitching staff limited the opposition to just two hits.
