Hi! Remember me, your page administrator who fails to check in often enough!
Sport Horse Nationals is a wrap and it was awesome! All the horses went so well and we brought home plenty of swag! Tony earned his first National ribbon with a TT in hunter geldings-class of 30! Zeke was amazing and collected a bunch of TTs, mostly thirds and a placing in the green derby! Little Pyro was such a good boy in these new circumstances and earned a TT in hunter hack. and Player stepped up into is new role as a dressage horse just missing the TT with good scores. Eastwood was so good and he collected thirds too-(at Nationals the worst placings are third-just missed roses and eleventh-just missed placing!) He also was reserve champion in the AAOTR hunter hack. Luke was a star winning his and Alyshas first set of roses in the open hunter hack then proceeded to TT in the rest of their classes.
Liam was, well Liam-being such a good guy in all his classes with TT in all is over fences (yes a couple of thirds!) and then really excelled in the sport horse ring with two championships, a reserve and a TT.
Caitlyn, Alysha, and Brielle rode in the Ric Desiderio Memorial equitation and Caitlyn and Brielle earned TT-another third there! All the riders brought home a lot of things from the that class!
A bonus win was Caitlyn handing a friends mare to the championship in HA hunter mares.
Despite the heat and getting colds, we all had a great time and looking forward to a new show season!
Back to reality now but are giving the show horses a bit of a break . Zeke went to California with Noelle for some boot camp for a couple of months which is so good for him but Brielle sure missed him! She will make a trip or two out there to have someof her own boot camp! We really appreciate Noelles help and support making all of us so much better in what we do. I take what I learned and can share with all my riders!

Been pretty busy so just catching up on our adventures. We enjoyed having Rachel and her horse Valor up for 3 day boot camp. They did great and went home tired but wiser! It was fun!
Just got back from the East Coast show where we enjoyed two days of jumping. Great learning experience for everyone and we appreciate the guidance of Noelle Roberts to help with some rough edges! It was fun seeing all the Friesian horses that were also showing at VHC.
We welcomed an old friend back: Junior and his girl Julia! Great to have them!
SHN is getting closer and we start the prep to get organized!

What a weather week! Hope everyone has safely got to the other side of the heat and smoke!(prayers to our Canadian neighbors affected by the fires!) horses all did ok and enjoyed their forced time off but sorry troops, back at it this week!
We welcomed Wanda Jones and her sweet thoroughbred mate. Big Wanda to our crew this week. They will have fun with us!
Prepping for East Coast and warning the checkbook that SHN entries are coming due!

It had taken us several days to recover from a very hot but very successful Region 15/16 horse show. Horses were all so good and riders held up quite well. Needless to say there were a lot of showers for horses and riders and gallons of beverages all around!
Always great see our show friends and their horses and the progress of all the youngsters! We get a bit of break now before East Coast!
On the home front our two working students have had dreams come true as both have been able to lease an Arabian horse to love and spoil! Jocelyn has Tammy Schriebert’s purebre, Remmy, and Autumn and her mom have Lisa Devineni’s Vegaz. Fun times for all!
I was interviewed by our local tv news, WJAC for their Women in Sport series. I haven’t seen it but was told it came out well.

After 5 shows and preparing for the 6th I need to catch my breath! It’s been a lot of fun and the horses and riders are doing great!
After no shows for 6 months all of a sudden they are stacking up! In addition on weekends with no shows I usually have an agility trial so my weekends go by quickly! I love it!
We were happy to have Alysha and her two boys back up for lessons. Both looked great and she had good rides. I have also been traveling up to the Forest Hills area to give Brielle lessons with Pyro. Not an easy trip with a major road closure but well worth it as the little guy is going well and the ring is fabulous!

Phew! Finally have a minute to catch my breath after five shows in just a couple of weeks! Yes, a couple of these shows were dressage shows but no worries, the others were hunter! All were fun and educational and horses went well. We solved a couple of issues on a couple of horses and hope those characters remember it!😂 Someone said”you are winning or you are learning” and it is so true!

We left the dressage court for a hunter show this weekend! Sewickley Hunt show was a lot of fun and everyone was so nice. First show for these two boys since SHN last September so we knew it would be more a learning experience more than a winning one. We did get some nice ribbons in nice company including a reserve championship for Eastwood. Brielle and Zeke learned a LOT and I believe fixed an issue that has been a problem.
Next eeek it is dressage again- rated show this time! And Liam’s turn for hunters. Then we gear up a big crew for the Arabian games! I am excited to be taking some newbies there!

I imagine at this point pretty much everyone around the east is tired of the rain but I understand drier days this week coming.
Despite the weather we have had some great rides both hunters and dressage! Excited to get into a show schedule and particularly excited for a coule of my younger riders making a show ring debut!

What a lovely day today! Summer like shoukd have all of outside doing something!
Took Cindy and Summir to a dressage show run by the Keystone Dressage group. I actually did see several people I know - hunter person in dressage land! A nice show at a nice facility(Harmony Horsemanship near Altoona) my team went so very well and we were pleased! Judge gave helpful critiques at the end of each ride which are always helpful!
Another bit of exciting news is Jocelyn is leasing Tammy’s sweet boy, Remmy for the summer! They will have fun together headed towards some dressage and sport horse!
Looking forward to a couple of hunter shows in the next couple of weeks! Yay!
