Won our class at Gingerman Raceway in a ChampCar Endurance Series 7 hour race today!

We're doing it again today !
7 hours at Gingerman Raceway with the ChampCar Endurance Series .

Finished 2nd in our class today in the 8 hour ChampCar Endurance Series race at Gingerman Raceway .
We had a 5 lap lead on the 2nd place car when things started to happen.
First, one of the fuel pumps on the Corvette went bad and had to be replaced, then the in car flagging unit (Flagtronics) failed and had to be replaced, and there was even a fairly long, red flag period for a dog that had wondered onto the track.
We get another shot at it tomorrow for 7 hours.

Going to start in the rain with decreasing temps all day.

Been finishing the rebuild of the Datsun 510 that was in a pretty big crash in 2024. Generations Custom Auto & Collision / Graham Body Shop had the frame pulled out straight and the "new" structural parts welded in several months ago, but we decided to race the Corvette at all the races in 2025.
We will race the 510 some in 2026, but haven't decided which races yet. Stay tuned !

In 1982, Jim Begley gives Jonathan Byrd the first of many feature wins as a car owner, winning a late model (then referred to as "pro-stock") oval feature race at the Indianapolis Speedrome

Our old wing we used in the super modified racing days, is back in action, on loan to Schuyler , our teammate when we go endurance racing in the Corvette. Schuyler is racing at Circle City Raceway tonight.

The damage we took from getting hit by the #36 Ford ended the weekend for us. Too much rear suspension damage to fix at the track.
We were not the only car to get damaged by them today.

Kurt took a pretty hard hit in the right rear wheel and suspension right before he was due to pit.

2nd pit stop and driver change done.
Kurt is in the car now, Jim will take over with around 2 hours left.

After the first pit stop we got a black flag for very minor contact with another car. So after pit stop and serving our penalty, we are still in 10th with a lot of racing left.
